Full Moon Sagittarius Tarot Spread: The Seeker's Journey

Explorers! by Jason Costanza

"Well, there are two types of deed. One is the physical deed, in which the hero performs a courageous act in battle or saves a life. The other kind is the spiritual deed, in which the hero learns to experience the supernormal range of human spiritual life and then comes back with a message."  -- Joseph Campbell

Artemis Says:
Welcome to the first of many full moon tarot spreads to come!  We will be featuring a new tarot spread that will reflect the energy of each full moon every single month.  These spreads can be used to divine what energies you must personally overcome to maximize each full moon.

What will you need to participate in each tarot spread?

1.  A deck of Tarot cards
2.  Your intuition

So let us begin!  What will we be learning about ourselves this month?  The ever cyclical Hero's Journey.

There is always an experience of seeking something higher than the self that is attached to the Zodiac sign Sagittarius.  The hero finds the courage to leave their home and venture out to find a great vision that they can bring back to their people.  This great myth is perpetuated in every single culture on the planet, and for great reason; we are all truly seeking to have those moments of transcendence that evolve us past our current stagnant state.

Sagittarius is ruled by the planet Jupiter, who is the Lord of Bliss and Joy.  What does this tell us?  Follow your bliss and you will find your higher vision.

Now shuffle your deck and pull a card for each of the following positions:

The Call:  What is the adventure we are being called to have?  What bliss do we seek?
Refusal:  What inside of ourselves is hindering us from taking up the challenge?
Crossing:  How will we find strength to begin our journey?  This card combats the "Refusal."
Allies:  Where can we find our strength and support?  How will we be mentored?
Ordeal:  What will be our primary trail before we receive our insight?  What great fear will be exposed?  What great dragon must be slayed at the threshold?
The Great Vision:  What will be our lesson of transcendence?
Temptation:  What inside of us will try and hinder us from assuming what we have learned?
Return:  What outside of us will try and hinder us from assuming what we have learned?
Atonement:  If your Great Vision is your sacred weapon, what is the beast in the Known World you must slay with it?
Integration:  How will you integrate what you have learned with your old world so that it becomes a permanent part of you?

Full Moon Eclipse in Libra - Bloom

Full Moon Eclipse Libra  March 23, 2016

Helios:
THANK GOD ITS ARIES SEASON! There is no ingress I look forward to more than this one! Especially after the clusterfuck that was this last Pisces season, and all its pileup. Unfortunately most of the planets are still in Pisces, giving me an ulcer, but are we going to let that stop us from squeezing out every bit of Aries that we can? Hell no!
And good lord, we are going to need everything we can get...
Artemis:
"Who dwells at the core of my being? I am calm itself and he is the storm." - Hafiz
This is the final eclipse in a long series of Libra/Aries eclipses. We wont see an eclipse in this sign combination for another 7 years. This, in itself, feels very significant. 7 is the number of Venus, the goddess of fortune and love, and also the ruler of Libra. This may be an especially significant time for those born under the scales.
Libra, the centerpiece of the zodiac, always reminding us that perfection is non-existent and life is in constant adjustment for balance. Like a see-saw, she teeters between hot and cold / dark and light / love and fear / war and peace. Where Aries is exploratory and impulsive action, she is stillness and assessment. As an idealistic air sign, Libra will toil endlessly for a justice that can never be fully attained; bringing to mind Sisyphus.  Perhaps this is Libra's punishment from the gods for being so fucking indecisive. The scale will always tip one way or the other, regardless of how balanced we may perceive it in the moment. The great work is never over.
"Man suffers only because he takes seriously what the gods made for fun." - Alan Watts
Helios:
The Sun, Moon, Mercury and Mars- Despite what I just wrote, I am going into this completely uninspired. I've tried to fake and force the awesome for hours now, and just kept running into a brick wall. Hopefully if I just keep rambling and writing I'll stumble into some sort of genius insight- if not, there's always tequila. Anyways, that is very much the feel of this: Think back to this time 2010-11, and how on fire you were, ready to take on whatever came your way, heaven help anyone who got in it. Where did that go? Where did you fail? Where did you lose? More importantly, when did you give up on yourself? Find that moment between then and now, and learn from it. Learn your lessons, forgive yourself, and MOVE THE FUCK ON. Its well past time to get back into that mode. That moment is holding you back, trapping you in its maelstrom, and if you don't escape it you will NOT survive the storm that is coming. And it will make landfall very soon, you NEED to be ready. You need to get back to your original mission, whatever that may be. There is a reason you decided to go down the path you explored, but there is a course-correct coming. Make the choice to change now or watch it be made for you. This energy is completely aligned with the greater year energy of the Fire Monkey, so now is the time to get aligned. If it doesn't bring you toward achieving your goals, get rid of it!
Artemis:
THE MOON: For the moon, I pulled The Hangman and Sowillo, which is the exact same combination I pulled for the last eclipse. This is auspicious. We have reached the other side, reflecting the last new moon in Pisces like a mirror. We have crossed some sort of strange, dimensional rift, with illumination resting firmly betwixt. Like Libra, the hangman is the centerpiece. He sits smack dab in the middle of the major arcana of the Tarot, suspended between two worlds. This book end situation is a new sort of experience for Libra. All endings breed beginnings, and Libra is consistently stuck in the middle of the story. Both the ideas of starting and ending seem foreign and dizzying. This whole transition from new moon to full moon has been like sitting on a fence; something Libras are very good at. It is finally time to step off and go see the greener grass on the other side. Unfortunately, while Libra has been sitting around contemplating, her Aries neighbor has erected hedge statues and planted gardens and a built one of those stupid fountains. Spring is here, and the scales have finally tipped. Sowillo, the sun, has arrived. The funny thing about the sun, like illumination, is that you can never look directly at it but you see it's presence all around you.  The hangman has lost his ego. He is in a position where you could throw a rotten tomato on him, kick his head, or give him a hug. Who knows. He has taken the leap of faith. It's time to give everyone the big fuck you and bloom how you choose. You get to be whatever kind of fucking flower you want to be. You inherit yourself.
THE SUN: For the sun, I pulled 5 of Swords and Kenaz. 5 of Swords represents self interest, which makes perfect sense for a sun in Aries. You're going to have to defend what you believe in. People are going to disagree with you. They are going to fight you and kick you when you are down. Don't fucking let them. Seriously, punch them where it hurts most and move the fuck on. We have to let things go and become light and fly now. The rune Kenaz, also known as the "torch," tells us that you will "surpass the master." This is where we make a choice, punks (sorry, Libra). What is the story you are going to choose to tell? Are you going to keep telling the same old fucking story, or are you going to take what you want? Are you the master of your own fate, or will you allow the illusion to suck you back in? There is also a warning here. This card tells us it is not in our benefit to be wholly selfish. It's like Libra is scolding Aries. She tells him to do what is right and to do it with the fullness of his unique intensity. I'm sure Helios and I can both agree that there is nothing more glorious to behold than an Aries with a righteous goal at his back. Kenaz represents controlled transformation. It governs apprenticeship, study, and the search for enlightenment. What drives you? What is your end goal? Look beyond everything. What is the sun of your life?
MERCURY: For Mercury, I pulled The Devil and Algiz. This is a fascinating combination. They call Algiz the rune of connections. What kind of connections? In particular, the kind between us and the gods. Algiz represents the higher self and courage. It is used as a protection rune and is charged with giving us courage in the face of fear. People are going to say what they need to say. That'll be nice, wont it? There is this idea of "personal gravity" which I found interesting when studying this rune. Movement is key, so find your rhythm. Mercury is the planet of communication, so Algiz in this position tells me that the full moon will be a glorious time for getting in your creative zone and just letting work come out. We also have the Devil archetype to deal with here. This card warns us that people (including you) may have an easy time influencing us with their words right now. Listen carefully to the way people speak to you, from the friends in your micro, to the politicians in your macro. What does everyone really want? It's an easy time to figure this out due to Mercury's connection to Algiz, the god whisperer, and The Devil, the impulsive egoist.

Helios:
Venus and Neptune- Okay, so these two annoy me. These are my least successful/integrated energies. Luckily, they work together exceedingly well, and with Neptune still in Pisces (don't remind me) it lends itself to a lot of customization and experimentation. Let me tell y'all about a little trick I learned from acting and my Pick-up Artist days- it's called Mind-shifting. What you do is you visualize your success (whatever form that might take) and marry that to an intense memory of achievement. Connect yourself as much to that memory you can, using your senses. Overwrite your insecurity and doubts with the emotion in your memory and use it to convince yourself that you already have succeeded, and really BELIEVE it. Once you swing that, all that's left is the execution, just actually doing it!
Artemis:
VENUS:  For Venus, I pulled The Star and Hagalaz.  Again, a fascinating combination.  The Star (card #17) is hope, the light, healing and escape after the collapse of the motherfucking tower (card #16).  The Star is Aquarius, who is ruled by the circulatory system.  It is the idea of connection at a mass level - the spider who weaves the threads between the stars.  This is a great combination.  It tells us that we are finally shedding the bullshit, letting the hail storm knock away all that isn't fastened securely to the truth.  Really, guys, this is good.  Venus represents what we truly value.  It's time for that to be clear for us.  Venus is giving us our speck of hope, and really there is nothing more perceptible in the sky than the wandering star Venus.
NEPTUNE:  For Neptune, I pulled The Lovers and the blank rune (fate rune).  Neptune rules over our temptations (thus the planet of alcoholism, YAY).  She is all the things we cannot see that are creeping around in the other world, influencing us in some wyrd way.  The blank rune sure shows that here, standing in for the idea of "fate" itself.  There are going to be a lot of magical moments, strange things coming into fruition that we may be blindsided by.  You see, Neptune represents that which is barely on our peripheral.  She also represents the higher form of love.  The lovers in position here tells me that higher connections are coming into manifestation in our lives.
Helios:
Jupiter, Saturn, Chiron, Uranus, Pluto- Okay, so this is becoming less and less Super Saiyan energy and more the 12 labors of Heracles. In which case, we're at the 3rd labor (yay us!), seeing as how we already overcame the Nemean Lion (brute strength) and the Hydra (overcoming multiple issues at the same time, balance). This labor would be that of perseverance, and humility. In the third labor, Heracles is tasked with catching the Ceryneian Hind, a stag that could run as fast as lightning. Heracles came across it by chance, then chased it over a year without catching it. After he kept running and chasing it, he ran into Artemis, who told him to leave it be, as the stag was hers, and go back to the asshole king who tasked him with the labors to say that he had caught it, and it would all work out. As he is walking up the steps to the palace, Artemis brings the stag to him, making him promise to return the stag to her. The king is ecstatic, but he wants to keep it for himself. Heracles realizes that he cant allow this to happen, he agrees, under one condition- The king had to come out to get the stag himself. When he does, Heracles released the Hind, and it escaped, and Heracles told him coyly that he had just been too slow.
Artemis:
JUPITER: For Jupiter, I pulled Justice and Inguz. So we have the rune of growth in the planet of growth. Hmmm. So what the hell are we growing? If Jupiter is the planet of joy and abundance, it looks like we are growing what we want through righteous action; aka Justice. Inguz rules subtle action, and Jupiter is being ruled by the Queen of Detail - Virgo. There is something waiting for you, a reward to reap, if you focus on the details. Once you find it, there will be an explosion of abundance available to you. Get your flashlights out, guys. This is a good time for workings involving money. Unfortunately, if you have been sowing bad karma along your path, get ready to eat shit.
SATURN: For Saturn, I pulled the The Hermit and Jera. So the Hermit is associated by the zodiac sign Virgo, and Jera represents the harvest, and Saturn has a big scythe he uses to reap.  This is a dire warning for us. Saturn goes into retrograde on March 26, 3 days after the Full Moon Eclipse in Libra on the 23rd. When Saturn decides to cycle back through the field, he brings double karma along with him. I'm sorry to terrify you. Remember... the pendulum has begun to swing.
URANUS: For Uranus, I pulled the King of Cups and Gebo. The King of Cups is a highly creative individual with great emotional depth. He sits in the storm of Uranus, calm and composed, his emotions reigned in. This King is aware of the flashes of insight coming from Uranus - the powerful jolts in our day that rattle our very foundation. The important thing is that the King of Cups sees them and becomes aware of them. He then responds in a composed manner. The King of Cups is emotional understanding, and he has a healthy balance between his intellect and his emotions. Gebo is the divine balance. There is great ability for you to make inspired partnerships with the people around you. This is encouraged. Follow the flashes of lightening, and do so generously. Share your fire. There is a lot of reciprocation in this combination. The King of Cups is very giving and generous, and Gebo literally translates to the gift.  Get ready for lots of gifts of insight as well.
PLUTO:  For Pluto, I pulled the 7 of Pentacles and Berkano.  What is with this card?  It keeps fuckin' showing up, left and right, and it's beginning to make me very curious.  The 7 of Pentacles is all about that moment when we decide to change.  Something has finally been completed, and now it is time to choose our direction.  Pluto is the planet of regeneration, and our lives are very much being pumped with new life blood as we speak.  Thanks for the juice, Pluto, because we are really going to need it for all these fucking retrogrades about to beat us down.  Berkano shows up for us, under the planet of legacy coupled with the 7 of Pents.  This probably means it is an excellent time for money manifestation.  You can truly have what you want, you just need to have the guts to change yourself in order to get it.  Don't just sit there.  Either harvest what you have in front of you and make something of that, or take what you need and begin your new life.  Decisions, decisions.  You're going to be forced to change, so it's time to choose a route or smash face first into the median (sorry again, Libra).

Full Moon in Virgo- Immersion

Hold On by Shan Sheehan, CCL

'If I cannot bend the will of Heaven, I shall move Hell' -Virgil

Fair warning y'all- It's a dredge moon. Anything and everything that you thought that you were done with and over is fair game right now- It all can rise to the top, just like cream or pond scum. No, you will not have control over what comes up and when, but you are in control of how you react to it. You can choose to surf the waves or let them drag you down- And im sorry to say that more often than not, they will pull you under. This is not necessarily a bad thing, as you will in fact resurface- In the underworld. That's right heroes and heretics, we're heading back to Hell!

At least we know the territory. That is very much the feel of this- we've become almost jaded to this trip, with how often we have gone in and out of it in the last few years. This trip would have killed us not two years ago, but now? Now we look forward to it, a chance to learn new lessons and catch up with old friends (or enemies, depending on your friends!). I'd also like to note that Pluto is nearly done with his sojourn in Cap (and so is Uranus, with Aries! When they connect in late Taurus-Cap, moving into Gemini-Aqua? LORDT IT WILL BE A COMPLETELY DIFFERENT WORLD), sure he still has a few years to go, but we have definitely hit our stride with it, and it is on the downswing. That's not to say that our biggest fight isn't ahead of us, however... (more on that when we hit Aries season!)

Morrigan's Card:
SUN- Knight of pentacles

MOON- 7 of pentacles
MERCURY- 4 of Swords
VENUS- Ace of Wands
MARS- 4 of Pentacles
JUPITER- Queen of Cups
SATURN- Page of Wands
URANUS- 4 of Cups
NEPTUNE- The Star
PLUTO- 2 of Cups

The past few days have been a dream. We are hearing a sort of rumbling ahead, like a waterfall, calling us into the gaping maw of a larger body of water. The tributaries of Aquarius are leading us into the collective will of Pisces. The gods have turned away. Either something has a hold of their attention, or they are waiting to see what we can do without their guidance. I get a sense of an opening in the sky overhead, reminding us that we are the manifesters of everything around us. We have chosen this. We have manifested this destiny that is throttling our way. Piscean Neptunian energy is here, and Virgo's Mercurial energy is making this a time of many messages (the fish themselves are a symbol of the messenger). Pay attention. People will say things at just the perfect moment. Don’t hesitate to act on their insights. This is dream time. We are all connected to each other – just like the two Piscean fishes are forever connected to one another.

The Sun and Moon- Alright, so this is a terrible configuration. I loathe it, this entire chart. None of the planets are speaking to each other, and nothing is getting done. Each is serving their own interests instead of uniting towards a common goal. However, there really isn't any enmity in this chart- They are all just off doing their own thing, preoccupied with their own goals and motivations. Gamers will recognize it as a grand trading quest- where each NPC has something that another NPC wants, and fulfilling all of their separate desires gives you what you need to progress to the next step, and the next, and so on until you reach your goal; whether that be the end of a quest, an amazing endgame weapon, or something of that nature. No matter what, its worth it in the end, even if its a pain and involves a lot of backtracking.

Morrigan Says: For the Sun in Pisces, I pulled the Knight of Pentacles. This isn't a very happy card for Pisces, but it is a steadfast card for the sun. You have to get to work right now, but you also have to meld this work with the dreams of Pisces or else you will become bored and stagnant. This knight gives us the energy and determination to accomplish our goals, but learn his lesson and whistle while you work. Thank our lucky stars for this influence or all of this zany creative fire would get lost without some sort of structure to move us along. What we can count on is the constant vision, THE SUN, the thing we aspire to become, to lead the way. This knight also represents restlessness and accidental overlookings. Let yourself be restless with your lot in life. Flow like a river into your dreams. You honestly have all of the abilities you need so quit wasting them on working for bullshit. If you MUST work for bullshit in order to manifest your dreams, find a way to bring that Pisces creativity into your work. Each task, no matter how repetitive it may seem, is actually a brand new opportunity. Don’t overlook inspiration because of repetition. Look at things a little differently. Inspiration can come in the weirdest ways - even just using an object in a slightly different way while doing the same task. This card tells us to work, but don't be so rigid that you kill your dreams while working. Work FOR something. Manifest destiny. For the full moon in Virgo, I pulled the 7 of pentacles. I heard some weird stuff about butterflies recently. Apparently caterpillars become absolute goo within their cocoon before they turn into beautiful, majestic insects. It may seem like you’re buried - unmoving - at the moment, with only darkness on the periphery, but you are about to come into your destiny. The moon is in Virgo, the harvester, and the 7 of pentacles card is represented by Taurus in Saturn. The wyrm caterpillar has no friggin clue that it's about to transform. Nor do we. The phoenix must face its fears and become totally consumed by the fire, settled to ashes, before it rises again. This is a time of manifestation. Your garden is about to bloom, and the moment that it blooms will bring a strange sort of confusion to you. What am I to do with this now? Do I have the strength to actually harvest this opportunity or will I panic and let the fruit rot? You CANNOT fear. Fear is the mind killer. Fear is the little death. Do you want your opportunities (and in turn you) to live, or to die? Let's fucking do this (as the goddess of victory, Nike, so swiftly put it haha). This card urges us to fight our way through the cocoon. Without the birthing struggle – without this forceful action training it’s body – the butterfly does not have the strength to fly. There is no victory without DO.

Mercury and Neptune- Good, finally a bit of cohesion- and who better to collaborate than the two rulers of this lunation? So... why doesn't this make me feel any better? Why does it feel like its almost more detrimental to have them working in sync? Well, for starters, they couldn't be more different- Night and day is an understatement to the amount that these two do not get along. One represents clarity, the other confusion; one sees the forest while the other gets lost in the trees. This play of opposites will need to be rectified within you, as you are going to feel like you are being pulled apart by the constant distractions continually vying for your attention. Ignore the side quests and stick to the main story for now- You need to get through this quagmire. Besides, you've been playing for weeks and your roommates are starting to get concerned with your hygiene habits. Bust out those Taurus tunnel vision goggles and plow through your objectives- keep a list that you can cross things off of (Virgo has a fetish for lists) and just get to work!

Morrigan Says: For Mercury in Aquarius, I pulled the 4 of Swords. The god Mercury carries with him the caduceus; a rod with two snakes entwined around it. This is the same symbol that we see representing the field of medicine in modern day. With the caduceus, Mercury could heal the sick, bring the dead to life, and, in turn, kill the living. The 4 of Swords is about healing, and it's about focus. In this card, a man lies sleeping with 3 swords above him and one sword below him. He is concentrated on only one thing in particular, and putting the other items to rest. Put away your distractions and funnel your energy into that one thing that is going to heal you - what you're passionate about. If you do this, you will be blessed with the strength and fortitude to continue this fight. A focused Mercury is a happy Mercury, and with it positioned so closely to Venus, we know it craving to get to work on something we actually value. Be still, let things flow like water, and flashes of insight will come faster than you can even keep up with them. The man sleeping in this card also gives me a flash of insight – you will receive messages in your dreams. Also, your words may not be your own. Like the sleeping man in this card, our linguistic world is tied up in the collective right now. This means that anything you create, with this meditative state in mind, will resonate at a heart level with all of those around you. Holy crap, for Neptune in Pisces I pulled the Star Card. A strange thing happened as I pulled this card. I saw it, for an instant, in my mind's eye before I flipped the card around. Shit is psychic right now, and perhaps, in turning away, the gods have graciously given us some of their powers. We were created in their image, and deep down, we all know how to use these strange, wyrd Piscean abilities. This card really is all about the wyrd - the threads that connect everything in the universe. The spider that pulls it all together, hour glass on her thorax, waiting patiently in time for us to finally see the big picture. This is the flickering of hope, brushing insight that we see out of the corner of our eye. It is the way out of the thick forest we have relentlessly been fighting through. Seriously, follow your insights. All of the cards are pretty much SCREAMING for you to get moving and DO something. You will be bestowed with the tools needed to accomplish your task if you can just start following the star dancing, waving her hands before you. There is Piscean inspiration like WOAH going on right now. Neptune is offering to quench our spiritual thirsts, and there is a fresh slate sort of renewal feeling going on. NOW GO! Give Venus and Neptune something beautiful to look at. They will grant you Victory for the gracious offering from this rare opportunity. You must have faith in the cosmos, and you must trust in your vision of your destiny. If you don't, it truly will never have the opportunity to manifest. How can you ever manifest your higher self if you remain stagnant in your current form? There is no TRY, only DO, as Yoda would say. Neptune gives us the ability to see beyond the illusion of the present with soft whisperings from the void. I have been telling you to pay attention to your dreams, and now that message is more urgent than ever. Communications are potent. Neptune is active and has us in her watery embrace, breathing life back into us when we thought we were left for dead by the absence of the other gods. She teaches us that everything is an eye-llusion (reality is merely Clay for us all to mold), so manifest the world that speaks to you. The fish are messengers, and they primarily whisper their ancient, collective insight in the one place we can all meet minds - the dream realm.

Venus- Ugh. With everything going on right now, the LAST thing you need distracting you is romance. Well, this is right about when Venus loves to fuck us over- and right on cue she comes in with a horde of undead loves, marching in to a cadence of Taylor Swift's greatest hits. You guys know what to do- Don't lose focus or get distracted. Do not engage any of them, bust out your machete and lop off the head of any one of them that dares to get too close (figuratively. The Astrogeek does not condone decapitation, however he does acknowledge that it would be an extremely effective and satisfying way to solve his relationship woes). Keep moving on from these hoes, you have nothing to gain by retreading this old ground.

Morrigan Says: For Venus in Aquarius, I pulled the Ace of Wands. Aces always mean "YES," and there is no saying "NO" to this fiery inspiration coming from the goddess of love. There is a lot of newness and passion in this combination. Aquarius is all about innovation and progress, and the ace of wands is all about striking a new match - lighting new fires and going after your dreams. If you have been thinking about starting a new project, this is the time! A torch has been lit over our love life, and this could mean one of two things: you are seeing things you didn't want to see but now have to (and this will be painful and full of drinking, thanks Pisces), OR you are finally seeing things you couldn't see and it's WONDERFUL. Illumination of truth doesn’t guarantee truths you will like, but at least now you know and can act from that knowledge and move forward. So yeah, whatever was in the dark has now come out to play. There will be a love for all things creative and new - all things strange and exciting - so just go with it. This is the perfect time to pair up Venus and Mercury, as they are both in this bold sign of originality. Find YOUR OWN voice and SING YOUR SONG. Do it now before Aries comes along and leaves you in the dust. This is your time to prepare to grab the coming sun signs by the horns. Also, you might be presented with some kinky, out of the blue sexual offerings right now, and with this particular ace, I would say DEFINITELY go with it. Adventures ahead! After being in Debby Downer Capricorn for a bit, Venus is finally coming into a sexually fired position. Do what comes to mind, and you won’t be disappointed with the reaction.

Mars- I love Mars. I really do. The only time I have ever hated him was when he was busy saving my life during the epic retrograde in Virgo circa 09. He always has my back and is my ultimate cosmic bro. It seems the outer planets share in my love for him, as he is the nexus of just about all of the deep space activity right now. As such, he is getting a heavy boost, and is the driving force behind this lunation- The only one who is going to be able to get you out of this merde is YOU. Your effort, your ambition, and your desire to get out are the only ways to get to where you want to be. What you put in now is all you are getting back out, so fight on, young prince of Ayodhya!

Morrigan Says: For Mars in Scorpio, I pulled the 4 of Pentacles. Jesus, this is a possessive card, and in a possessive sign none the less. You’re hoarding your energy, hoarding what is yours, hoarding your sexuality even though Venus is giving you the big thumbs up “YAAAAS DO EET”. Maybe you're afraid to lose what “little energy” you imagine you have. You won’t be able to jump into this raging current if you are moping around the edge of the tributaries. Don't let this fear block your vision. Don't let the material, physical world keep you from what you know is your destiny. Once you get started, once you can bust out of that box, your energy will be like a locomotive. Honestly, the hardest part will be your first step. Strike while this iron is hot. There is a way out, and huddling with your things and chosen comforts in your den is not going to be that way. You need to get your energy out there. You need to mingle. You need to share ideas and share your material possessions, or you're just going to be stuck worshiping idols in your pillow fort until you are old and regretful. Take the risk. No one is ever sorry that they took a risk from the heart, only that they never made a move.

Jupiter- I'm almost growing bored with this one. I've never looked forward to a Libra transit so much in my life. Jupiter in Virgo has been surprisingly petty in action, and not for a greater reason- It's just so that he can be petty and show his dominance. It serves no purpose other than his own whims. There is a lot brewing under the surface, both for him and for you- Beware those you surround yourself with, betrayal could come from any angle. You could also just be jumping at shadows, and further alienate yourself from those who seek nothing but your best. Unfortunately until/unless it happens, there is no way to truly no for sure, and it is NOT always better to be safe than sorry under these stars.

Morrigan Says: For Jupiter in Virgo, I pulled the Queen of Cups. There is a lot of emotional transformation going on right now, and an overall emotional maturity is sweeping the collective. What are your dreams, baby? Where do you want to soar to? Our ideals are coming out to play big time right now. You may see people talking more and more about big picture ideas, destiny, fate, universal connection. This queen is a poet and a dreamer, and she will reflect your soul in your environment. With Jupiter and the Moon crossing paths (and this Pisces sun), our emotional life is exploding right now – this is truly a time of raging rivers taking us to places whether we like it or not. The feels are intense, and the expansion from Jupiter in the Queen of Cups will leave us tingling in the chest. Your emotions are funneling from the depths of your soul right now. What you feel is truly from the deepest parts of your unconscious. This is the perfect time to create art as your symbolic mind is craving for any method to express itself. The Queen of Cups is fair and honest, so pay extra attention to what others are trying to express to you right now. They can't help but speak to you from a place of no inhibitions - as hard as they try and fight this feeling, things will leak through. Intentions can’t be masked as well as we think they are. Grab these bits and pieces, and put them in your cup. Drink up the inspiration around you. This Queen is an empath, and she is lending us her powers this moon. For those of you who are already very empathic, prepare for some Bene Gesserit abilities. The emotional expansion is REAL.

Saturn, Uranus and Pluto- Seriously? Out of all of the planets, the only ones to get together and work toward a common aim is these three? Fine, whatever: I'm not even shocked anymore. The least probable course of events is pretty much guaranteed in these times. Even more surprising is their aim (which is actually your aim, but hey)- the goal of everything that you are doing, the struggle you are in and the moves that you are making, is so that you are ready and in a position for true, real love; a real relationship and a fulfilling connection to another person, yourself, the universe, what have you. Since we are still going with the Super Sayian label for this energy, figure this as the fusion arc- Two immensely powerful warriors find that they are not enough on their own, and must put aside their considerable differences to combine their insane strength and become a single being, more powerful than either of them could ever become on their own. It is not an easy task, and there are many hurdles to clear before they get there. Ring any bells? However you package it, it is coming, and even if you aren't consciously aware of it, that is exactly your motivation. And the cold, unfeeling outer planets want to make it happen for you. Gods help us all.

Morrigan Says: For Saturn in Saggo, I pulled the Page of Wands. Saturn is at our creative service. This page takes control of his own creative destiny. It truly is manifest destiny time, and Saturn, the god of control, is giving us some leeway. As I said earlier, it seems that the gods have suspended their gaze and are allowing us to build fervently, with an unshakable momentum. Please take this open door chance and don't put it to waste. Punishments won’t be as severe. You may see a lot of showmanship right now. People will be running around like peacocks, fluttering their creative feathers and (sometimes, for most people, inflated and delusional) senses of destiny. This page of wands likes to have fun. She is playful, charming, free-spirited and ready for an adventure. Don't let her down. If you decide to play along, you will be duly rewarded. Saturn in a playful mood is truly a rare thing! Those who don't try will be the real pessimists during this time. Those who do try will see that Saturn is on their side - destiny is truly on their side - and that things WILL come into fruition. No. That things ARE coming into fruition. The signs are everywhere. We are truly on the precipice of a great waterfall, so follow your urges. Listen. Your instincts, your subconscious, are leading the way. Follow this Page of Wands even if she appears a little flighty. She is our true form – pure creative potential -  and she has the keys to the fairy realm. For Uranus in Aries, I pulled the 4 of Cups. Uranus is restless and bored. What the hell are you doing, day in and day out, doing the same old fucking shit? You have been still and gestating long enough.  The spring is coming, and this god of the sky is sick of sitting still. He is trine Saturn and sending us flashes of insight on our destiny. Yes. Those things you see are real and they are coming from the other side. Act on them. You are seeing through the looking glass that is the 4 of Cups. It is the perfect time to scry our futures. This card really urges you to start doing something or you will miss your opportunity. Unfortunately, because of over thinking, the majority of us are going to miss these rare opportunities presented to us right now. Don't be one of them. We are a rare breed and we rise to all occasions, so use that Aries in Uranus energy and act on your gut hunches. At first, because of the water-mirror like effect of this card, you won’t know where the hell it's all leading you to. It’s like a labyrinth of mirrors. Just keep running and feeling out ahead of yourself as you go. After a spontaneous turn based on these hunches somewhere along the line, it's all going to hit you like a pound of bricks. No species knows what the hell it is doing when it is evolving over the centuries, and in a less macro, more micro sense, your life evolves in a very similar fashion. Chaos, ironically, fuels evolution. And this giant god of Chaos is restless for some change. The man depicted in this card is unwilling to get up from his spot until he has figured it all out and has a solid plan. Fuck the plan. Think on your feet or you will be left with the scraps and crying over the fact that someone else has seized your idea. No one will be there to lift you out of the water when the flood comes. Get to higher ground now. For Pluto in Capricorn, I pulled the 2 of Cups. Relationships are transforming us, and we are transforming our relationships. In Pluto in Capricorn fashion, destroy the relationships in your life that are giving you shaky foundations. It may be painful at first. Hell, it WILL be painful at first, but you will come into a new-found, drunken freedom from doing so. There is a lot of dead weight around, but there are also inspiring people around (and intuitively, you KNOW who these people are) who are going to truly help us grow in this new creative endeavor we are taking on. Join with people. Work together with your tribe. This crazy inspiration we are getting - this destiny I keep talking about - it's about all of us, not just you. The people in your life are there for a reason. The Norse believed in a concept called the wyrd; there is no such thing as coincidence. We were all put together for a reason. Your tribe and you are alchemically changing each other right now, and truly, these friendships are a match made in heaven. Now GO, find out why the hell these people are in your life. Ask questions. Meld.

Full Moon in Cancer- Unchained

Tortured victim screams in pain by Emerson Quinn, CCL

Peace is a lie.

Not the most optimistic way to start this festive Full Moon, but allow me the chance to explain why this is a good thing, and how the philosophy that Darth Vader and the Sith followed is your map for success this lunation. That’s right, this is a Star Wars thing. Deal with it.

Anyways, “Peace is a Lie, there is only Passion”. This is the start of the Sith code, the antithesis of the Jedi code, which starts out: There is no emotion, there is Peace. That may be a great ideal to strive for, complete control over one’s emotions, but it is one that is difficult to say the least. Even more dangerously, this way argues for stasis, the status quo. When you are in that mentality, you are against the forces of the universe- You resist change, growth, and the natural order and flow of life. You cut yourself off and remain apart. You lose ground to Time and Change every day, and that is a fight that you cannot win. When you reject Peace, your enemies become complacency, stagnation and outdated mentalities. You live a more energized life, far more in tune and aware of your surroundings and the natural energies of the cosmos, like this current Astro. On the surface, it feels dull and peaceful, boring even, but undeneath, things are brewing, threatening to bubble over…

The Sun and Moon- As we gather together to celebrate a myriad of holidays, all of which are offensive to someone out there, you must not lose sight of yourself and your needs. Your situation no longer feels like it is sustainable, because it isn’t. It is unraveling around you, in ways visible and invisible. Part of you knows this, but you are more than willing to write it off as holiday blues or some such nonsense. NO! That is your Passion, crying out to be heard and acted upon. The next part of the code, “Through Passion I gain Strength”, echoes this- When we ignore our passions, we sap away our vitality, which weakens us daily. The cumulative effect of this is crippling. We subjugate our passions, denying our deepest wants and desires to continue our banal, mediocre lives. Why? Why do we accept this as our reality when we could become so much greater, so much more than what we are? When did you give up on your dreams? And what would it take for you to believe in your ability to bring them into form again?

Mercury, Venus, Mars and Jupiter- “Through Strength I gain Power”- At first glance the third line of the code seems to be at odds with the grouping of stars in this segment, but give it some thought. Yes, the line is simplistic at first, but is it really? Through your strength, and its continued use, you gain more power to affect change in your life and the world around you. Strength is your path to change, and you must constantly seek to improve yourself and grow your strength. This is fortuitous, as this stellium is all about power, whether it be Mercury’s mental prowess, the tsunami of broken hearts Venus leaves in her wake, Mars’ militaristic might, or Jupiter’s  place at the head of the pyramid, looking down onto the rest. Right now you must find and honor what makes you stronger as a person, and you need to work and hone that until it is your weapon to affect change in this world. It is also time to look toward the future- you have to make changes in your life, drastic ones. If you stay on your course you will die, a little more each day until there isn’t anything worth living for. Everything here already sucks so much, why in the seven hells would you want to drain your life of any joy and vitality as well? Let your passion lead you to new paths, which will remove less than ideal factors from you and your life, which will only make you stronger. The clarity from this will make the way forward much easier to see. Caution is advised however: now is not the time to be implementing these changes, it is a time of reflections and plotting. Action comes later.

Saturn and Neptune- These two have been dominating the recent Astro, and don’t expect that to change anytime soon. No, we won’t wake up from their hangover until we hit the summer and get tossed straight into the insanity that I have been talking about all year. But another time for that. Your next precept is “Through Power I gain Victory”- Again, another seemingly simplistic idea that belies its true nature. Over time, as you honor who you are as an individual, having found what separates you from others and allows you to excel and honing it, helping you to find your place in the world, you achieve your goals and win, shutting up those hateful voices trying to tear you down, both within and without. More important in this precept, and with the code as a whole, is the embracing of strife as a factor for growth and change. Think of it like a pearl. A bit of dirt gets under the shell of an oyster, and irritates it. The oyster tries to insulate itself from this, as it hurts like hell! The oyster is hurting where it is most vulnerable, and it tries to cover the pearl in its stomach juices, which harden and over time, become a pearl, smooth and perfect. To get there however, you need that speck of dirt which gets past your armor, and you need to suffer for a while. Hell, I don’t need to tell you anything about suffering- We have all been there. Some of us still are there, and can’t see a way out. What this precept and the Astro behind it are telling you is that the end goal is to improve your worth. Now, I preface this by saying I am wholeheartedly against the idea of suffer now to be rewarded later- that isn’t what this means. This is Saturn and Neptune telling you that one day, this will make sense and you will see why things had to be the way they were. To your part, Victory at all costs is only to be used as a last resort- there is far more value in a worthy victory, in which you prove what exactly you are made of. The conditions are set, and your path leads you forward…

Uranus, Chiron and Pluto- And straight into the biggest challenge, and the end of the code- “Through Victory my chains are broken”. I get chills every time I read that line, it is so crucial. Through this lens, it is revealed that victory and success are not the end goal- it is our freedom, our ability to live on our own terms, without being subjected to the whims and wishes of others- Working toward your own dreams, your own goals and plans, instead of building their monuments. In the end, this is the only thing worth doing, because it is whatever YOU want it to be. Doing this allows you to reach your fullest potential, unfettered by anything that would hold you back. This is the Cardinal Crisis in a nutshell. The worst may be over, but all of the pieces are still there, and you can still use them to affect change, but without the sword of Damocles (or lightsaber in this case, I suppose) hanging over your head! There is still time on this clock! You are not locked into anything yet! You can still say fuck it, drop everything, and run as fast and far as you can to build a brand new life. Sure, there are consequences, but there are also consequences to NOT living life on your terms. Which will you be more regretful of on your deathbed?  When your life flashes before your eye as your breathe your final breaths, will it be worth watching? Only you can make this call.

The Future is waiting for you. Are you ready to meet it?

Full Moon in Leo- March Of The Divas

Ooooooh, shes been a bitch tonight! And by bitch I mean this Moon! Its in LEO, Hellraisers!
Holy Helios, this is going to be fun. This is also the perfect moment to really clear out all the guano that is still in the air from 2012, and claim your stake in 2013, announcing your presence and making a grand entrance.

Its not all sunshine and glamour though- this lunation is in a major square to Saturn and has very strong contacts with Jupiter, Chiron and Uranus as well. Of course ill go into devastatingly painful amounts of detail below, but the theme is this- You're going to have to get out on stage, looking more fabulous than you ever have before, even though you're nowhere near ready and want to just hide backstage and give up performing forever. If that wasn't enough, you're going to have to make it look effortless.

Up for it?

The Sun and Moon- Right, so I already mentioned the square to Saturn, pulling at both of these two and demanding that they grow the hell up, putting a damper on the otherwise spirited mood. Okay, maybe "spirited" is pushing it, ill admit, but it is most certainly energetic as all hell. But the sword hanging over your head is meant to spur you forward and inspire you to do better, not to threaten you. Jupiter is not much help here however, at stationary Direct, not actually moving things forward or backward, but still causing a ruckus by his mere presence. Avoid anything that even remotely reeks of drama or could potentially become dramatic, unless of course you are in some kind of dramatic production, in which case expect chaos which gets handled and produces an amazing show. Uranus is not to be ignored, being both supercharged and the big ruler here, so he steals the show. Luckily, when you play by his rules he invigorates and recharges whatever he touches, cranking up your neurons and setting you aflame with all kind of new, crazy ideas. Because this is Insanity Astro, Pluto is also in the mix, so you can bet that there will be an edge in the air, kind of like snatching yourself back from the very brink, and spitting in life's face, daring it to do its worst while you grab your junk suggestively. This is actually exactly what its going to feel like, indicated by Chiron- either that or you will be attacked exactly where you are so very weak and you will be forced into surrender. Pallas Athene indicates that this is not exactly a moment where you just let it ride- You need a battle plan. If your 2013 Resolutions include fitness goals, now is the time to hit the Iron harder than ever, not time to give up on it and bitch out. Vesta confirms this, saying that if you have faith and stay dedicated, then you will be amazed at what you can achieve come Gemini Season (Hint- That's going to be a major time this year. Mark it down). A connection to Klotho tells you that the time is ripe for writing yourself a new chapter in your story. If there's something you want to do, then go out and freaking DO IT. If finances are an issue, make it a priority and save up for it. Just take steps to make it a reality. A trine to Hera confirms this, demanding that you make yourself a priority this year. It is time to grow into your own majesty, so start acting like Queen Bitch/ The Bastard King. An opposition to Askalaphus warns you to watch what you say, however. My advice would be to avoid saying anything and just put on a show for 'em!

Mercury- Now in Aquarius, the trickster is stronger than ever. Enjoy the boost now, because he's about to go Retrograde... In Pisces, of all signs. Which should be a cakewalk. But more on that when we have to deal with it. Today's focus starts out with a strong sextile to Saturn, so your mind is on serious matters, most likely regarding your place in the world and how to advance that place significantly this year. Well 2013 will be an almost unparalleled time to make those advancements possible. Plan now, put it into action after the Retrograde. A conjunction to Eros tells you to listen to where your attention goes; What you are passionate about might evolve into something more quite easily. A trine to Vesta and square to Deucalion confirm this, adding that you will need to stay dedicated to achieve what you want, and it will be an uphill battle. Another square, to Ceto, tells you that if you are made aware of an opportunity, you need to pounce on that shit immediately.

Venus- Venus may not be in the main drama this time, but holy hellfire does she have one hell of a side plot. Making her rounds in the outer rim, and securing alliances with the likes of Sedna, Eris, Varuna, Huya, Salacia, Haumea and Rhadamanthus, getting all of her ducks in a row for the rest of the year. With a connection to the Nodes, I am very interested in seeing how things turn out after this! While not the tamest skies for romance, the forecasts are certainly not dull where Our Girl is concerned! Of course, she is in Capricorn, so ignore her at your own peril. Of course, if you play by her rules, she gives you the best of the best.... Its not all sunshine and puppies, however. A square to Bienor indicates that what you want comes with a struggle to get it. You're going to have to fight dirty, and you'll have to decide whether its worth it or not. A sextile to Niobe warns against a tendency to overplay your scene and boast about your amazingness. Remember, there are no small parts. A square to Lachesis has you hard pressed to eliminate anything or start to remove negative influences from your life, but that time will come soon enough. A square to Atlantis confirms this, and suggests that you shouldn't push yourself just yet, but don't hesitate if something comes up either.

Mars- Almost out of Aquarius, Our Boy is lighting up the chart almost as well as Venus is, albeit in much different ways. All the Outer Planet connections are in effect for him, but the one I want to focus on is a square to Huya, which is exactly (and I mean down to the arcminute) conjunct to the North Node, but closely opposite to Sedna. That kind of configuration tends to highlight that you are feeling a lack of abundance and that it is your duty to yourself to DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT. Whatever shape that may be, dont take anything off the table. Unconvential means may be the most effective for once. Another square, to Asbolus, confirms this and adds that you take this very seriously. This Lunation sets the stage for the rest of 2013, and with so much of it being water-heavy (and in the sign of the water-bearer no less!) security is tantamount. Do not put this off, you've done that for long enough now. A quincunx to Varuna highlights the need to make adjustments and to do it behind the scenes. This will not be easy. A sextile to Okyrhoe and Quaoar help here, indicating that you do have support, and you do have what it takes to create a new way forward for yourself. An opposition to Hekate confirms this, but indicates that you have some choices to make about which way to go (you're going to have to be a bit more specific than just "forward"). Hekate always stands with you at the crossraods to make the decision, but you will have to make it yourself, and walk the path that you choose. A square to Atropos confirms that, and challenges you to end what needs to be ended, with no drama. Accept what you had and allow it to go. A sextile to Hidalgo gives you the strength to stand up for what is important to you, and stands in the trenches with you as you fight for it. A conjunction to Icarus shows how you seek to be free of any and all limits placed upon you, provoking anger when you feel you are stifled. I would advise caution, however, as evidenced in the story of Icarus- Dont fly too high. This is confirmed by a sextile to Apollo and Phaethon, bringing both characters into play. In this case it seems that you should be able to ride the thermals instead of burning your wings. Settle for what you can handle, and try not to ride in any strange chariots if you can help it.

Jupiter- As we've said, the blowhard is Stationary Direct, set to start moving again shortly after the Full Moon, so take your deep breaths now. Prepare for it to hit, and in full force. If you're not ready when he comes, you will get taken down. Stay light and unecumbered by the bullshit. Helping you there (and forewarning the insanity that is about to go down) is a sextile to Uranus, basically ramping up Jupiter's crazy up to 11 and ripping the knob off. A square to Teharonhiawako is taxing your ability to rectify your place in the world as a functional contributor to society and as a creative individual in charge of their own life. Walk the middle ground (hint- It has to do with latent Self-Worth issues!). A sextile to Circe shows that you can make some magic happen if you stay dedicated and have a little faith in yourself. A trine to Hera confirms this, but demands that all of your choices be made to further your own ends and be on your terms. A trine to Nemesis may be an issue here; do not ride in like an avenging angel to try to win the day- rather sit back and let your minions do the work for you.

Saturn- Alright well the Grim Reaper turns retrograde next month, easing up on us a bit, and allowing us some breathing room. Til then, however, you do not skip Saturn, or whatever it is that hes trying to teach you (look at the house hes mucking through). Sextile to Pluto, old news, just keep doing whatever it is that you're doing. You know, soul-searing, demon-slaying, revolutionary reinvention. take no shit. A trine to Heracles helps here- You make it look easy. A conjunction to Persephone confirms this, saying that if you want the buried treasure then you have to dig real deep. A quincunx to Vesta doesnt make this any easier, as it challenges the very faith you have to keep going. Remember- The monsters under the bed always lie. This is also confirmed by a sextile to Eurydike and a conjunction to Siwa. A trine to Amor and a sextile to Aphrodite tell you that even though a romantic interest may start out light, there is a strong potential that it is more potent than you know.

Uranus- A conjunction to Pallas Athene is also old news, those two have been dancing around each other for months. Still, theyre quite potent together... Channel Hilary Clinton and crush your enemies while making them look dumb in the process. A quincunx to Orcus and a sextile to Altjira tell you... jeez, give me something new here!! Okay lets see, new... new.. Yeah I got nothing. Damn synodic cycles!

Neptune- Well, having FINALLY seperated from Chiron, we can actually start to treat them seperately, and deal with them head on. Well, Chiron anyway. Neptune can never be fought head on, you have to sidle up to him in the dead of night, looking fabulous in your assassins cloak (never mind that no one wears cloaks anymore, its all about the STYLE of the thing) while you ever so slightly slip something in his drink that will get him in 3 hours. Luckily, there are no real new influences here either, so moving on....

Pluto- So Chiron moves away from Neptune and ever closer to Pluto, demanding that you face those nasty secrets you thought were dead and buried in your psyche. Do it the first time around and it is LOADS easier, trust me. A conjunction to Echeclus indicates that there are issues coming stemming from the past, and that have carried into the future. A quincunx to Vesta challenges you to maintain your commitment to your duty and rediscover your purpose even though you face down some serious opposition and the fear can be crippling. This is lessened somewhat with a conjunction to Orpheus, letting you fake it til its real. A conjunction to Aphrodite and a sextile to Amor tells you that your desires are strong and if left unchecked will end up being more trouble for you than they are worth. A square to Magdalena balances this out, and gives a nice Madonna/Whore vibe to the proceedings. A trine to Achilles and a sextile to Heracles round us out, and raising us by our testicles to fight another round!

In closing, my friends; Always ask where she got the milk.
