Full Moon in Aries: Dramatis Personae

Most holy Huitzilopochtli (Praise Him), we come to you on this day to ask for your protection from shitheads, haters, asshats and douchenozzles, and we pray for the strength not to backhand a bitch. Ohhhhooohhhwooaaaahhhh, IiiiiWiiissshhhAaaMothaFuckaWould... Amen.

You guys, this one is for real. Even though its not til Saturday, Im writing this up early because for some reason, Its already ramping up in effect and is only getting stronger (and because Im not trying to be beasting it out on Saturday in the wee hours of the morning. Screw that). That and I have an irresponsible amount of caffeine running through my veins.

Still though... This is an Aries Moon.

Oh Aries... I love a good Aries. Aries moon should be renamed the Man The Fuck Up moon (And while we're at it, lets make Scorp the Psychopaths United moon, and Pisces the Holy Hell- Where Am I, What All Did I Do Last Night And Why Are We In Tennessee All Of A Sudden? moon) because no matter what your situation, there's something you're trying not to face right now- You know exactly what Im talking about. You need to just sack up and get it over with, because its not going to take care of itself magically.

Speaking of getting it over with...

The Sun and Moon- Well, starting out we have the Moon hooked up to Uranus and Pallas Athene, so expect absolute insanity right out of the gate, and everything will be highly charged. If you keep a cool head, and dont get caught up in your issues then you can rock out some serious awesomeness. Hell, it could be that spark that you've been waiting for. On the Sun-Side, he is slumming with Typhon, which does nothing to help us stay in control; You feel more akin to some avenging angel ready to smite all who stand in your way. Try to avoid this, for obvious reasons (unless you are in good with people who can, you know, help you to "clean up your messes" and wont ask too many questions.) Now, since the universe has a really twisted sense of humor, this is all happening in square to Pluto, so this is all going to have a "Do or Die" feel to it. You will feel like you have no options that work. A trine to Altjira tells you to take a step back and breathe. Get some perspective and see what your situation really is, no bullshit. A sextile to Askalaphus is telling you that you need to speak up against things that you do not agree with, even if it means speaking alone. Stand up for yourself! A trine to Eros kicks you into a frenzy for what you are passionate about, so live it! Its not enough to just feel it! A square to Kronos tells you to watch how you are spending your time. Remember, if it can be tracked, it can be conquered.

Mercury- Holy bajaysus, Merc has shot through Libra (he's almost to Saturn's spot). That can only mean one thing: (that Astro is really not paying attention to his Sun's Ruler?) Mercury is gearing up for another Retrograde (Oh. Or that works too, i suppose). Now its not happening yet, but be ready: Its coming. More on that further out. Today, however, the main aspect is an opposition to Eris. Its going to be really tough to get along just to get along right now, and you may have to swallow a hefty dose of your pride. A conjunction to Rhadamnthus asks you to take a good hard look at where you are and decide once and for all if its really worth it. If it is, quit bitching; If not, well, get out and quit bitching. A quincunx to Sedna tells you to go with whatever fulfills you, and not tolerate anything thats lacking. Make sure your needs are being met first and foremost. A square to Varuna shows that a lot of what you are stressing about is out of your hands. Focus on what you can control. If you can't, its not worth wasting any time on right now. A sextile to Quaoar is supercharging this whole mess, and telling you that even though things may not look so good right now, this wont last forever. Keep dancing.

Venus- The big news here is the square between Mars and Venus. Ohyes, that sexy, magical, intense (and did I mention veryvery sexy?) square which causes all sorts of sexy, sexy issues. Oh wait, there's nothing sexy about issues, thats right! Remember that. Tune into the tension, but dont over-think it. Just move with the tide and check your baggage at the door for the weekend. Also, this is an High-Octane Undead Ex alert, so be prepared. If you do become affected by this, There's a reason they're showing up again. Try to decode out the message that the universe (or god, fate, what have you) saw fit (in all of its insane and highly suspect faux wisdom) to entrust them to delier unto you without getting caught up in their drama and bullshit. Other than that, not much to talk about here until our girl moves into Virgo and moves to oppose Neptune.

Mars- A bit more to go over here, however. Our boy is almost through with his sojourn in Scorpio and is gearing up for Saggo. God help us. Til then, we have a conjunction to the North Node, trying to get you to make moves toward what YOU want to do with your life, but you just wont listen, will you? Oh well, cant be helped I suppose... You could chalk it up to his opposition to Sedna, which is a little stronger than the conjunction, but not much. A quincunx to Vesta makes it very hard to stay dedicated and on track, but with a few adjustments of your expectations, you should do just fine. A trine to Salacia tells you that if there is something that you really, really, really want then you should go for it. You might find that its more easily attained than you think! You're going to need to give it all you've got though, because with him squaring Heracles, there is no going halfway this time.

Jupiter- Good god, just get it over with and go Retrograde already!! Le sigh. An opposition to Ixion is really stressing your patience and goodwill. Only do as much is necessary, sit back and let the asshat dig his own grave. A conjunction to Chaos tells you that there is a lot that is out of your hands, and if it is, then dont focus on it, it wont help you to. Just focus on what you can control. A square to Sisyphus doesnt help anything here- just leaving you more stressed and burnt out, but its not time to bow out just yet. A sextile to Pelion helps you keep your eye on the goal.

Saturn- I am not dealing with Saturn until he hits Scorpio (October 5th). Finish Strong.

Uranus- Not a lot to go over here.... Square to Pluto, google it. A trine to Eros shakes things up, and reignites your passion for something you had thought was lost. My advice would be to follow it and see where you end up. A sextile to Altjira tells you that if you want to go anywhere with it or get something done, its up to you to do.

Neptune- A trine to Ceres warns of the dangers of overlooking your needs, especially when it comes to your nutrition. Feed yourself, but only the good stuff. A square to Juno tells you that when it comes to relationships, nothing is clear. Dont hold out false hope, and keep moving forward the best you can with what you know right now. A square to Asbolus warns against letting yourself give up. Keep yourself as lighthearted as possible. Things are tough right now, you dont need to make it any tougher on yourself.

Pluto- Nothing really new here, other than the fact that hes freaking squaring the whole Lunation, a la 2010. But we've already talked about that, so go back and read it if you missed it. A trine to Orcus also comes into play, giving us double the trouble and double the intensity. A sextile to Chiron cuts deep, right where we're vulnerable. Take note of where the blow strikes and protect yourself next time. A trine to Hera warns against getting caught up in political drama, let others who are much smarter or braver (read:dumber) than you take on that challenge. Sit back and strike after everyone has counted you out. Finally, a sextile to Apollo indicates that this is a great time for the authentic you to shine, so put yourself out there and make the world take notice of you!

Well guys, thats all I have for you right now, but stay tuned, because things are going to start moving very quickly now.

Mercury Retrograde Update- The Problem is Choice

Ladies and Gentlemen, This shit sucks. Im aware that I promised fabulosity and overall amazingness, however its turning out to be nothing more than Mercury Retrograde hype. I get the feeling that it is theoretically possible to rock the amazingness like I described, however try not to focus on that (well, yes-Focus on that and rock this transit like its never been rocked before. Just do it in the background.). No, there's something much more important in the works.

The moon is in Libra right now, and is very close to Saturn. After that, it jets into Scorpio. This is going to be a preview of Saturn in Scorpio for 37ish hours and trust me, it will drag on and on and on like you would not believe. In this time, we will be getting a taste of whats to come and how to respond to it. There will be an even more potent one at the end of august, but we'll get to that later.

The crux of the issue is this- Like I said in my New Moon post, you have reached a point where you have done as much as you can in a certain are of your life (you know which one im talking about) and the realization just crushed you. It is freeing though, because once you face it, and accept it, you can move on. That being said, you have a choice to make- What next? Where do you go from here?

And then the zinger- What do you want?

See these are questions you will need to have strong, commited answers to. No more vacillating. No more trying to play both sides of the game and wait for the skies to clear and the heavens themselves to give you a sign with flying unicorns farting out rainbows to tell you that its time.

No, if you want it, you're going to have to take it.

Again, this is a preview for what is to come. You will be filled to the brim with piss and vinegar, but remember- at the end of the day, Saturn is still in Libra (no matter how much you [or your humble Astrologer] may wish otherwise), and therefore we have to go back to walking on eggshells and trying to make everybody happy (yay.) after you Scorp out and utterly obliterate them for their overall incompetence at life.

But just think of how much better you'll feel afterwards!!

Good luck!

New Moon in Cancer- Letting Go

Ladies and Gentlemen, screw this New Moon; It has me far too weepy for my liking! On the plus side though, it has made me much nicer and slightly more understanding, but still. Emotions = Not my forte.

Anywho, lets get it going, shall we?

The key to this round is letting go. Ive said this before, but this time around its Do-Or-Die. When some old pain comes up, let it go. When that voice in your head tells you that you should have done this instead of what you actually did, you let that go too, because we cannot take quick jaunts back through time and make a different choice. And when you go for a quick drink to take your mind off of the issues and see your ex there, doing the same, you civilly acknowledge them (if you make eye contact- If not, just run!) and let them go. No repeats allowed this time around- Its only forward motion.

Of course, this is easier said than done, isnt it? Your not-so-humble Astrologer has a very difficult time with this as well, and rarely finds ways to cope, but the gym has been my personal sanctuary to get over this, and has the added benefit of helping me stay as healthy as possible. So find your coping mechanism, and focus on that instead of allowing yourself to be overwhelmed by all the negatives that your mind throws up. And just warning you now, there will be a lot of them, and this will not be easy.

But when is it ever, eh?

The Sun and Moon- We set the stage with a sextile to Makemake, which shows that your focus needs to be on survival. You are in competion for what you want, and you need to win. Give this everything that you have. A square to Bienor may leave you more willing to help others on the way up, however. Maybe you don't need to finish first this time? A square to Apollon tells you to channel this creatively, and try to be as magnanimous as possble. A sextile to Admetos makes this difficult however, as it is much easier to express the more unsavory aspects of your character. Try to avoid this. A conjunction to Vulkanus shows that you can handle this challenge, and have a lot of strength to do it, but you may need to dig deep. Set boundaries, and make sure to take time for yourself. Another conjunction, to Hekate, confirms this, but adds that you need to be sure of what you want. Whatever that is, you can have it now, but you have to want it. A trine to Salacia confirms this, adding that if its right for you, it will happen, but not without hard work. Get away from what you dont want in your life at Mach speed. A square to Lachesis indicates that something in your life is over. You will know what it is, and the realization will hit you like a ton of bricks. Do not let this be dramatic, just acknowledge it and move on swiftly. Just let it go. A sextile to Sedna confirms this, adding in a lot of regret with a side of melancholy. A trine to Juno shows that relationships are not going to be light and easy, but there is a chance to make a deeper connection and build something that lasts. A square to Saturn and to Eris shows that you are caught between two desires- on the one hand, you want to be totally self-sufficient and untouchable, and on the other you want to be respected and admired among your peers and on the cover of magazines. Its hard, but aim for the middle ground; try to do both.

Mercury- Yes yes yes, he's finally gone Retrograde. Enjoy the chaos. Other than that, he's quite tame, with a traine to Pallas Athene, so hang back and watch the fireworks (but strike at the right time if the opportunity presents itself!). A sextile to Venus helps you stay sane, and helps you keep your mood up. Smile as much as possible, fake it if you have to. Genuinely finding reasons to smile though goes a long way for you mental health. A conjunction to Achilles helps you get through the day and not break down sobbing in the copy room. Make it through and win the day. An opposition to Amor has you struggling to justify keeping things how they are in regards to your relationships; Its time for a change. A conjunction to Sisyphus doesn't help any, leaving you feeling like the present moment is a Herculean task. Keep pushing that boulder up the hill.

Venus- Ah, Miss Sexy herself, that classy bitch. Another quiet one this go-around. A sextile to Child demands that you act maturely and responsibly, yet to stay sane, act like a little kid and have fun when no one is looking. A square to Apollo also highlights this, and tells us that not allowing yourself to be... well, yourself will have serious reprecussions. Don't stifle yourself unnecessarily. An opposition to Amycus stresses the need to treat those you meet with compassion and hospitality, but not at the expense of your own needs. Be careful to avoid any petty squabbles, because they could easily get blown out of proportion. A square to Borasisi shows that not all is as it seems- You are being lied to. Find out what it is, and determine whether it has any bearing on your life. If not? Ignore it, but don't trust the offender again.

Mars- Well, Our Boy is not quiet by any stretch of the imagination! A trine to Jupiter says to GO GO GO!! and make big, sweeping changes to everything. This time around though, we dont have Pluto's help to keep these two in check. No, this time he's in square. Tread carefully, and make sure you aren't about to run off of a cliff. An opposition to Uranus tells us that there is potential for a lot to go wrong, if you are not careful, but if you work it right, there is a lot of possibility for growth and chucking out what you no longer want/need. A trine to Ceres tells you to be all about YOU, and make an investment in yourself for once. A sextile to Chariklo says that if you are looking to get ahead, you cant be afraid of looking a little weird. A conjunction to Astraea and  confirms this, and adds to stay somewhat removed from what happens now, especially with regards to political situations. A square to Cyllarus warns against taking uneccesary risks, however. A sextile to Sappho encourages love for your fellow man, but make sure you keep your hands above the table. A sextile to Hidalgo has you fired up to launch your latest crusade, and a sextile to Nemesis helps you win the day, as long as you watch what you say and position yourself perfectly.
A trine to Siva helps this, getting you to the right place, at the right time.

Jupiter- A sextile to Uranus tells you to watch out for some unexpected opportunity, and if you dont act on it, you will regret it. An opposition to Chariklo has you focusing on the here and now instead of the big picture. Dont lose your perspective. A square to Elatus puts a strain on your positive outlook, and tells you to face reality. An opposition to Okyrhoe is warning of possible criticism from doing this, and things might get hard. Do not engage, and get out where possible. A square to Teharonhiawako may leave you saying "Well, now what?" regarding your direction. Once you figure out that answer get your ass in gear and dont look back for anything. A trine to Astraea says to back out of all the drama, and clear your head. Above all, set proper boundaries and know when to say no. A sextile to Sappho could have pining away over something that may never be, and that you have built up in your head. See what is in front of you. Finally, a conjunction to Siva shows that there is a lot that you are putting up with that you need to disassociate yourself from. Do that.

Saturn- Not a whole lot to talk about here; A square to Varuna tells you to be suspicious of any change to the game at this stage. More than likely, its a trap. A sextile to Quaoar has you resigned to finishing out your duty and seeing it through to the end. The goal is in sight. The question is, what happens then? I suppose its all about those last few seconds... A quincunx to Sedna warns of making sure you don't get pulled in by the hype, something is not as it seems, and now might be the best time to launch a graceful exit, providing you have your escape plan in place. A sextile to Narcissus gives the O.K. on this, as long as it is really what is best for you. A square to Askalaphus tells us that no matter what you do, you will piss someone off for doing it. My advice? Dont choose the path that ends with you kicking yourself for not doing what you wanted. Fuck everybody else.

Uranus- Yes, the Mad Scientist is retrograde now, and let me just tell you, he is loving it. A sextile to Ceres demands your full attention, and tries to get you to eat all of your vittles so you dont collapse while working your ass off. A trine to Chariklo (oh here we go again...) gives you fresh insight into what is happening in your life, if you take a second to look up from your keyboard. A square to Cyllarus gives you the urge to put yourself out there and take on added responsibility, but are you sure you can handle it? Or is there something else out there for you? An opposition to Astraea shows that right now, you want to be with those who speak your language; your people. Seek them out and invest some time into them. A trine to Sappho may have you eager to experiment with new ideas and open you up to brand new experiences. I say go for it, but be sure to bring lots of lube. A trine to Hera shows that you may need to get creative in your power play if you want to acheive your goals anytime soon. A trine to Hidalgo tells you to stand up for what you believe in, and not back down for anything. Out-crazy your opposition.

Neptune- A square to the Nodes has everybody's favorite dealer struck with a case of ennui the likes of which would fell a mortal man, a herd of bison, and three gaggles of geese in one fell swoop. A square to Vesta has you running a self-check on your motivations and ideals- Are they still in step with who you are now? What needs to be adjusted? A sextile to Kassandra reminds you that there are still many chapters left to write in your story, so keep going. A sextile to Ophelia will drain the life right out of you if you let her, so avoid that. Do whatever you need to in order to keep yourself on point. A trine to Aphrodite should help with this, and even help you stay elated and positive. Watch out for a square to Phaethon though, and try to avoid being in the public eye if at all possible.

Pluto- A trine to Elatus has you feeling rather optimistic about all the changes taking place in your life, but that might just be the Prozac. Or maybe not, with a sextile to Teharonhiawako boosting your morale too... An opposition to Kronos warns to to account for reality in your situation, and not just bury your head in the sand so that you dont have to deal with it. Stay calm and keep a level head and you can conquer anything. A square to Astraea helps you face the day til then, helping you build up and repairing the cracks in your armor as it breaks down. Keep going.

This one is rough guys. Dont let it beat you. Stay alive, and let go in order to swim to the other side.

Much Love

Mars in Libra- Bacchanalia

Le sigh. I was doing everything in my power not to acknowledge the silliness that is Magic Mike, but Mars had other ideas. Damn him. Its just too damn convienent to pass up. Ladies, you're welcome; Gentlemen, I know, and I'm so, so sorry. Ill get you back when Venus gets into Cancer.

In other news, MARS IS FINALLY OUT OF FREAKING VIRGO!!!!! That right there deserves a ticker tape parade! I tell you, right there at the end, for about .0002 seconds, I almost lost my cool. But then I got over myself, wrote a sad poem in my journal, and went on with my day.

Ok, so How To Conquer The World With Astrology: Chapter 7- Mars In Libra; "While Mars is in Libra (providing that you survive his transit through Virrrrgo [hmm, did Starzina write this?]) your best course of action is to stifle your inner urge to unleash a shitstorm the likes of which your enemy has never before seen, not even in his worst childhood nightmares, and instead try to find common ground with those who oppose you and work toward a compromise that works for both of you. Or else just smile big and bitch-slap the dumb out of them. You know, whatever works for you."

Okay, that tells us a little, but are there any more handy quotes that I can blatantly plagarize and call my own? Ooh, here's one: "While Mars is in Virrrrrrrrrgo, battles tend to be fought in the arena of the day-to-day mindless drudgery; Wheras in Libra, the battles take place in person-to-person dealings, especially when it comes to relationships. Therefore, you must disguise your insults and motives in politeness, and watch out for backhanded compliments. It never hurts to ooze charm like the proverbial French hooker oozes perfume, or like how Heidi Montag (woah, throwback pop culture reference! When was this thing printed, 2005? Seriously...) oozes shame and dissapointment, or an oozing ooze monster oozes ooze, or... well, you get the idea. A little charm goes a long way. Same goes for party tricks."

Alright, that was good, but is there a strong closer in here that I can ride into the sunset? By Jove, there is! "In summation, the challenge of Mars in Libra is one of balance, compared to Mars in Virrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrgo's challenge of quality and getting all the details in order for this challenge to even be possible. In Libra, you will face trials of character, and it will be up to you how you handle them, whether that be with dignity and courage, or of reckless abandon and pettiness. You will need to take decisive action, even though not all the facts are clear, and the path that is most beneficial is unsure. Make a choice and stick with it. If you dont like it later, make a new one. IT IS NOT THE END OF THE WORLD IF YOU MAKE THE WRONG CHOICE. Buck up, write a sad poem in your journal, and move on."

And there you have it, folks- I couldnt have said it better myself.

Venus Direct- I Am Become Diva, Destroyer of Worlds

Freaking finally!! Our girl is finally headed back in the right direction after several false starts and despite all the naysayers, haters, and the swarm of Evil, Undead Relationship-Zombie Exes that appeared out of nowhere.

But that does not mean we get to breathe a sigh of relief, no siree bob. This is Insanity Astro still, and all the same issues we had are still valid until Venus moves out of Shadow, and especially while Mars is still in Virgo. Once Mars moves into Libra, be prepared to act, because from there on things get a little wonky til Saturn comes and sorts out the mess from Scorpio, but more on that later. For now, focus on getting those last minute details of your master plan ready to roll.

Yes, this current batch of astrological silliness helps us to clear our head and shake off any lingering guilt, shame or suchlike guano that you may still be carrying around. Go out and take some time for yourself, figure out if you really want to keep going down the road that you are on, or if you would rather pull a last-second course correction.

If not, then just take this time to reinforce your image, loosen up a little and enjoy the pleasure of being alive. Go out and hang out with old friends, make some new ones, or just relax in your own company.

If you want to change course, however... Well, then it gets a little more difficult. Then you have to redo all that work that we have done, and get it done in the space of this shadowzone. Luckily, it will inifinitely easier the second time around, as this time you already know the territory. And the smaller the course correction, the less work that needs to be done. I cant stress to you enough, however, that if you need to make that course correction, DO IT NOW! The longer you wait, the harder it will be. And honestly, dont you owe it to yourself to do what is right for you?

Ultimately, the decision is yours. Remember that.

This leads you into the end goal of this transit: The Diva (or Don, depending on what gender you feel like being today), untouchable, commanding attention and being a palpable presence when you walk into a room. This does not mean, however, that you get to go on a power trip and leave a horde of bodies in your wake. No, you are going to be a benevolent ruler, prefering to inspire loyalty in your subjects instead of obliterating them at your whim.

That way, when the angry mobs come to protest the unfair taxes (so that you can afford to buy new shoes) your loyal subjects will take the bullet for you, allowing you to make a hasty escape.

Watch for pitchforks and torches!

Lunar Eclipse in Sagittarius: The Call to Adventure

When will this ever be relevant again? Its too good to pass up.

Full Disclosure- You guys are going to be sick of me talking my head off by the end of the month. But by that time it will be Cancer and I couldn't be bothered. This month was always going to be insane, so lets just get right into it, shall we?

A Lunar Eclipse on the same day as the ridiculously overhyped, guano-steeped Transit of Venus that everyone seems to have gone crazy over. Whatever, I was talking about it before it went all mainstream (Sweet Disgruntled Bhudda, when did I become a hipster Astrologer?). But it will be a helluva show, I can promise you that. The real action, however, is going on backstage....

The lights go up...

The Sun/Moon- Interesting Astro here, to say the least. We start our show with a conjuntion/opposition to Chaos, indicating that there is serious potential to be tapped and directed for the achievement of your goals, if you can keep up with the insanity that seems to be gripping everyone around you (and you too, you just cant see it). Keep your ears pricked for any stray gossip that may lead to a big scoop. A sextile/trine to Persephone tells us that if anything is going to get done, its happening behind the scenes. Dont be afraid to step away from the limelight to give yourself a breather, you might just get a genius flash of insight or clarity. Besides, it might be the last time you get to before Jupiter kicks the door in for his big entrance into Gemini. There is a trine/sextile to Zeus, indicating that you will get a much-needed jolt of energy (read: you will feel as though you are hooked up to a Tesla coil), but so will everyone else. Be very mindful of them. An opposition/conjunction to Hidalgo indicates that emotions will most definitely be running high as well, and a trine/sextile to Atlantis shows this may be catastrophic if not channeled correctly. But y'all know better than to let this get the better of you, right?

Mercury- A trine to Saturn helps to steel the trickster's nerves, and regain focus. Its quite sobering and is good medicine, but watch for bouts of melancholy. A sextile to Bienor could make you prone to some pretty nasty shouting matches, without realizing quite how things got that bad. Take a step back, breathe, and be as serene as possible as you firmly defend your point. Give no ground. An opposition to Echeclus could introduce you to some very suspect characters. Dont get roped in to a con. By this point you should be able to smell one a mile away, though. Its not all bad news though, as an opposition to Quaoar has you very optimistic and stoqued to unleash your epicness and brilliance upon an unsuspecting populace. Dont hesitate, grab the spotlight while its shining on you. A sextile to Burney indicates that there may be more going on than what is clearly visible, with a fabricated story being presented as gospel. Be wary, especially with a trine to Damocles hanging over your head.

Venus- An exact square to Mars makes things... difficult here. There is a ton of tension, and things are ready to snap. Get ready to stand your ground. An opposition to Nemesis shows you that vengance is swift for those who indulge their hubris, they will get what they are due. Dont allow that to be you. This is reinforced by a square to Niobe. An opposition to Amycus should encourage you to be decent and relatively non-douchey. A sextile to Pelion indicates that your experience of these moments are going to be highly personal and will help to shape your character. A sextile to Lachesis shows that you need to let certain things go, and not to try to keep beating a dead horse. Let it die in peace A trine to Haumea tells us that something new is most definitely stepping up to take its place, you only need to jump for it.

Mars- Our boy is not making many friends lately, now is he? Squaring pretty much everything, and throwing us to the wolves as he gets the spreadsheets done. I do have some good news, though- We only have one more month. That's right, people, its almost over. But, for now, lets see his scene- A square to Amycus indicates that there is a serious potential for you to mistreat others, and for them to do the same to you. One you can control, one you can't. An opposition to Borasisi tells you to ignore conventional wisdom; In these times, the only guide you can rely on is your own. Go indulge your inner renegade. A trine to Vesta shows that the only things worth doing now is where you are needed, and trust me- you will be needed, wherever you are. A sextile to Osiris shows that your most valuable asset is the ability to stay calm and collected as everything goes to shit around you. There will be plenty of time to break down later, but put on a brave face and quell the chaos. A trine to Phaethon helps you to dare greatly, and challenges you to do some of the shining for a change. A sextile to Dionysius can make you a little crazy, so dont make his job any easier by indulging in booze or drugs.

Jupiter- Wow. I cannot believe its almost been a whole Jupiter transit. He is set to blast into Gemini on the 12th, and that will be a big change from what we've been doing. You think events are happening fast now? You're in for a rude awakening, my friend. Anyway, a trine to Asbolus shows you looking to your future, trying to map out your destiny and decide how to proceed from here. A trine to Pandora shows that you can make all the plans you like, but anything can still happen to knock them out of the sky. A square to Apollo has you soaking in all the benefits of living the good life, so enjoy it while it lasts.

Saturn- Saturn is not having an easy go of it either, to be honest. He starts out with a nervewracking opposition to Eris, the goddess of discord and chaos, which is pretty much the exact opposite of what Saturn stands for. You may feel as though you are fighting a hydra- whenever you cut off one head, two more grow in its place. Some creative thinking will get you out of it though. A sextile to Echeclus shows that you may not be too sure of your footing in the current paradigm. Step back and evaluate your position in order to better actualize a way to progress. A square to Varuna shows that you are not in the mood for any more skulking around in the shadows; No, you want to be out there, center stage, demanding the world take notice of you. To this, I say: "Just fucking do it!" The Astro demands that you be your own press agent. A sextile to Quaoar should help with that. A square to Hera strains your commitments and relationships, bringing a struggle for power, degenerating into a pissing contest, and hopefully ending in makeup sex (you're welcome). A trine to Amor influences this, but doesn't do enough to nullify it completely. Just remember the reasons why you fell in love with them in the first place, and give them plenty of space. A trine to Burney reminds us to check behind the curtain for the real truth, and a square to Sauer makes us quick to act wherever we find anything that reeks of impropriety. Finally, a trine to Damocles reminds us just how precarious our position really is, and scares us into taking more care.

Uranus- The big show here, of course, is the square the Mad Scientist is making to the Prince of Darkness. This will not be easy, nor will it be pretty, but it will be so balls-out amazing that it will blow your socks right the hell off. Full post with mad expeletives coming forthwith. Til then, amuse yourself with the musical stylings of the imminent sextile to Circe, pushing you to experiment in your life and take some chances, just to find out what will happen. You may be surprised at the results! For instance, I have recently developed a huge interest in permaculture, and think it may just be the coolest idea ever. This aspect is also reinforced by an opposition to Isis, which throws in the part about doing anything for love. Take that how you will.

Neptune- Well, not much to talk about here, except for the fact that he is going retrograde, right after the eclipse and super-transit! Thought you could pull one on the Astrogeek... Aside from that, however, not much to talk about. There is a conjunction to Hygeia, so take care of yourself, try to seek natural cures if at all possible rather than relying on medication. A trine to Memoria takes you for a trip down memory lane, and rehashes what brought you to this place, giving you perspective. Hopefully there aren't too many cringe-worthy moments to go over.

Stormageddon, Dark Lord of All- That seriously never gets old. Anyway, we have a sextile to Chiron, cue old wounds re-opening and new ones forming. Remember the lessons, move past the pain. A sextile to Teharonhiawako demands that you use this time to create yourself anew; its time for a comeback if you're down and out- if not, call it a reinvention. Act more like the new you than the old you. A trine to Psyche shows that you are completely flummoxed by this whole "Fifty Shades of Grey" craze. When did Sadomasochism translate into book sales? Anyway, make sure to establish a safe word before trying anything too crazy in the bedroom. A square to Isis shows that you are willing to do whatever it takes to acheive your goals, but make sure you dont get stuck in the planning stages. Action is required.

Ok guys, this is your updated map. You know where you're going, and you can do this.

2012: The Road Ahead

Meh. This Astro though, for realz...

Seriously, how intense was that Eclipse? I dont know about you guys, but it was like running straight into a brick wall over here at the Skywatch.

Glossing over the missteps completely, we look to the current challenge.

Ladies and gentlemen, we are about halfway through the year. No breaks are given between eclipses this time, as we have Venus Retrograde demanding our full attention while (F@$%^!) Mars in Virgo is squaring pretty much everything. I would say that you need to act totally serene and in control as everything explodes in your face, but that would be lying. Keep your head up, breathe and move forward as best you can. This is your show, nobody else's.

Next up: Another Eclipse- only this time, it kicks you straight in the emotions.

Then: Uranus Square Pluto, the famous fuquery that is the main event of 2012, and it will redefine how we look at EVERYTHING. But more in detail as it comes.

Ladies and Gentlemen, I want to thank you for coming on this epic Rollercoaster ride with me through this Funhouse and straight into the loony bin. It is, as always, a pleasure to help guide you in the tunnel, over the river, and through the woods.

And so we go.

Until the next round

Full Moon in Scorpio: The Truth About St. Petersburg? Well, I Was Never There Myself

The Force is Strong with this one...

Alright, so where are we? Oh right, the Full Moon. Ok, lets see what we've got here... Well its a Scorpio Moon. So there's that. Oh, its a Supermoon too, huh? Bitch please; We call that a perigree Moon around here. But yes, this Moon is juiced up to the max. And we're just getting started, Ladies and Gents

Diving right in...

The Sun/Moon- So lets start out with a conjunction/opposition to Lilith, so expect this Moon to bring out and stoke the fires of your rage; Be careful of when and how you express it. A trine to Astraea lends a cool, detached air to the moment however, so there may be a tendency to avoid owning your own passion to keep the peace, or avoid confrontation. An opposition to Requiem further enhances this, indicating that it would behoove you to keep calm and keep your wits about you. A sextile to Heracles allows you to use all this passion to do some really awesome things. If you know exactly what you want (which should be pretty well defined by now) then this allows you to hone in on that like a freakin' smartbomb. A conjunction to Tantalus accentuates this, helping to put it (finally) within reach. A sextile to Borasisi indicates that there is an element of illusion, but the overall vibe far outweighs it and should allow you to sniff it out almost immediately.

Mercury- Dominating the Trickster is an opposition to Saturn. The good thing here is you get fantastically clear thinking. Take the extra time to make sure you get your point across. Watch out for a poison tounge, with a sextile to Nessus in play. A trine to Echeclus allows you to have perspective on the events that are taking shape in your life, allowing you to see what brought you here, and what steps you should be taking next. A trine to Quaoar is very helpful here, as it demands a break with the past and allows you to move on. A square to Achilles challenges you to go the extra mile, and pushes you on in order to attain what you want. Finally, ending on a good note, a sextile to Venus does a lot to counter the somewhat heavy air, and helps lift your spirits. Use it to keep yourself from going insane.

Venus- A sextile to Eris pushes our girl to try new things, be a little more bold and brash, and have a great story to tell afterward. A trine to Saturn shows that this is put to good use, and helps avoid the pitfalls that Eris is infamous for. Watch out for an opposition to Nemesis, however. If you are slighted, do not go into revenge mode, put your plotting skills to more productive use (read: Karma is one crazy bitch, let her handle it). This is also kind of hinted at by a conjunction to Karma. A sextile to Bienor has the mood taking a more exuberant and uplifted mood, with issues of empowerment takingcenter stage. Watch out for a tendency to become spiteful and vindictive when slighted. A sextile to Atropos tells us that a certain cycle of your life is coming to a rapid end, and a new one is slotted to begin. A square to Eros brings about a very titillating and dynamic spirit to the moment, and is great for anythig needing an extra spark of passion. A trine to Damocles reminds us to move forward, confidently yet cautiously, as you only get one shot at getting this right.

Mars- Mars, Mars, Mars... what are we going to do with you? I would say that I'm so ready for him to get the hell out of Virgo, but then we have to deal with him in Libra (which brings in a whole 'nother round of the Cardinal Crisis). So I can live with Virgo for a while longer, but it just might make me rip my hair out in frustration. Anyway, we have a square to the Nodes, leaving you questioning if you have made the right choices and wondering where you go from here. Dont get paralyzed by the fear that things might not be perfect- Just start somewhere and build up momentum. A quincunx to Uranus help you bust out of old and dead patterns, but you need to be bold enough to take the leap into a life where you write your own rules. An opposition to Chiron helps with this, pushing you to be a maverick. Last but not least, a trine to Pluto brings out the monsters and parades them right on by, for you to smite them verily. A conjunction to Elatus helps you to not get stuck in the guano of past regrets, but instead look back and snicker. A sextile to Cyllarus stresses the need for you to play your own hero instead of waiting for some poofy white knight type to come in and "rescue" you. A sextile to Kronos keeps your goals in sight, and helps you continually make progress on them. Remember- If it can be charted, it can be conquered. Excel is your verybestfriend. A conjunction to Arachne can have you lost in the minor details. Remember that they come together to make one cohesive picture (presumably of Dogs Playing Poker).

Jupiter- Well some good news in this corner. Although we start out with a dolorous conjunction to Sedna, forcing you to step back from the center stage and do some more inner work (cue collective groans from the audience); and a somewhat painful quincunx to Saturn, challenging you to take your destiny into your own hands, we have a very positive feel here. A sextile to Varuna helps you have faith that you are on the right path, and if you take a step back, everything tends to fall into place for you. The square to Icarus is still in effect, so you may have to force yourself to take care of daily responsibilities. A square to Apollo doesn't help this much, you would much rather sit back and relax than put in the work that you need to, but the work is not without its own rewards: namely results.

Saturn- A sextile to Quaoar is effective for making lasting change in your life, starting right now. A square to Achilles is pushing you to bust ass and get to where you want to be. A very annoyed astrologer is 300% ready for Saturn in Scorpio already.

Uranus- Well, there's a trine to the North Node, lending a huge focus to what is just on the horizon for your future. And thats it.

Neptune- An opposition to Orcus has yet to dissipate, and will be a focus for some time to come, as these planets move agonizingly slowly. A square to Juno leaves you and your partner at some sort of crossroads, with nothing being really clear. It can be hard for you to understand each other, being easier to escape into your private realities rather than deal with your issues. A sextile to Vesta doesn't make this any easier, much preffering to be left alone. A trine to Hekate demands that you make your own choices now, and to take responsibility for your actions. Be aware of what you do.

Stormageddon, Dark Lord of All- Our favorite Galactic Dictator (For So Long May He Reign, Praise Him) is quite active this go-around. A sextile to Chiron hits you where it hurts, in the Ego, and forces you to face some unpleasant facts about yourself. A sextile to Niobe strengthens your self-righteousness and heightens your need to boast or revel in your utter brilliance. An opposition to Eurydike allows you to be taken in by your own hype, and enables you to be self-deluded, leading to dire consequnces. A square to Lachesis asks you to take stock of everything in your life, and to mark what is no longer needed to be cut away. This is a great time to self-prune, but make sure that you dont throw the baby out with the bathwater. Unless, you know, throwing out babies is your thing. Then by all means, turn yourself in to the nearest authorities. Finally, a trine to Hermes helps you rise above all this crap and pull this off with panache. Or is it chutney? I always get those two confused.

All in all, these are favorable stars. Not especially easy ones, but rife with potential. After this, say good-bye to Normal, as we head into Eclipse Season, and then right back into the Cardinal Crisis: Redux. Now if you'll excuse me, Im going to head to my Disaster Bunker as this Moon is taking place right over my Pluto. And you dont want to see me go full Pluto. It gets messy.

New Moon in Pisces- Under the Influence

Piscean checklist:

Great new Music? Check
Junk food? Check
Cautious optimism regarding events to come? Check
Enough caffeine to bring down a musk ox? Check to the power of Check

Lets do this

Alright ladies and gentlemen, we are now officially in Piscean waters. The rising tide and all that. And this New Moon? Well, it puts the last one to shame. Right now you're probably feeling like you are trying to stand on a cresting wave, like everything is shifting below your feet. Well, suck it up, because its not going to get any easier. This is the part where you find out whether or not you can swim.

Take a deep breath. Are you ready to take the plunge?

Sun/Moon/Neptune/Chiron/Pallas Athene- Well, I did warn you guys. This Lunation features a cacophony (or a cesspool) of the celestial choir: a Super Stellium right at the start of Pisces, with a couple other heavy hitters not far behind. Also in the mix is an opposition of all this to Orcus, so right off the bat you better believe this is going to test your faith in what you are doing, and will try to scare you off your path; However, anything unsustainable that you have been clinging to will just fall away easily, if you let it. This will test your resolve, so be ready. There is a square to Diana, leaving you feeling restless and sick of how long the process is taking. Breathe, relax and enjoy it, its not going to happen again and you will miss it once its gone. An opposition to Industria has you putting in the work to achieve your goals, and its leaving you a little burned out. Keep your eyes on the prize. Also notable is a trine to Askalaphus, so speak your peace, don't censor yourself if something's on your mind. Watch the sextile to Ophelia, steer clear of the Drama and be mindful of how you come across to others. A conjunction to Magdalena stresses the need for you to operate at your highest levels, so that the shit you're walking through wont stick. Others will notice, and will follow your lead, for better or for worse. A sextile to Toro challenges you to channel your frustration into something productive. Great time to get back to the gym and put some serious effort into your fitness, or try a new sport. A sextile to Aesculpius shows that there is major healing going on, but its behind the scenes. Think back to 2008. How have you grown since then? A square to Altjira demands that you pull your head out of the sand, and start getting more involved in your own life. Ultimately YOU are the one who is in charge of your own destiny, not the fate, the universe, God, chance, etc. Another square, to Terpsichore, shows that spirits are low, and the last thing you want to do is celebrate the awesomeness of life, yet that is exactly what you MUST do. Smile, dance, paint; just do something that makes you happy. A sextile to Jupiter shows that right now, its very easy to slip back into old patterns, and a lot of people will with this transit. Be aware of your issues, and refuse to allow them any ground. A trine to Cyllarus shows that you are putting tremendous pressure on yourself to be the best in every arena. Recognize your strengths, and allow others to shine as well. Together we are stronger. A trine to Kronos reinforces this. Be mindful not to step on anyone on your rise to the top. A square to Juno brings up those relationship demons and wounds, take a deep breath and allow yourself to move past the old that is long gone to fully experience what is standing right in front of you. A conjunction to Tantalus warns you not to strech yourself, reaching for the good of tomorrow while you are surrounded by the good of today. A sextile to Phaethon tells us that if we try to push ourselves too fast, there could be drastic consequences for us and the ones we love. Take your time. A sextile to Sauer confirms this, but tells us not to be afraid to take the chance presented to us; its all about striking the right balance.

Mercury- About halfway through Pisces, and well clear of the drama happening in the early degrees, Merc is still swimming along, ready to get the hell into Aries (oh wait, thats me). With a square to Thereus, your strength and your resolve will be tested. Another square, to Okyrhoe, tells you to pay attention to Omens that show up. Any dream messages you get now are particularly important. An opposition to Psyche may leave you scratching your head as you partner puts their fut in their mouth time and time again. While that may be what is actually on their mind, just let it slide as they probably dont mean to stir up contention. Yet another square, to Nemesis, shows that there are those who are dogging your steps, just waiting for you to slip up so they can rip you to shreds. Make sure to give them a good show, and that's it. An opposition to Arachne tells you to be mindful of your pride, regardless of your skills. Stay humble, and you'll be fine. A sextile to Hephaistos says that, while not the most glamorous idea, sticking to your work will keep you out of a lot of trouble, not to mention is much more productive then wallowing in self-pity. Finally, a trine to Hopi reminds us that we are but a part of a very big world that is a very small part of a very big universe. Keep that in mind.

Venus- Our girl is very quiet this lunation, which usually means that she's plotting something. Let's see; a trine to Nemesis, showing that she's defintiely plotting. Don't engage in anything that is unscrupulous. When they come for you, deny everything. Another trine, to Amor, shows that you are allowing yourself to fall in love again, even if its just self-love. Yes, it is very scary, but go with it- its worth it.

Mars- Our boy is also very quiet, raising the question if they are shacking up again (most likely). A square to Amycus show that you must treat those you encounter with proper respect and human decency, or you will most certainly face the consequences. You cannot afford to miss this one, trust me. An opposition to Atropos shows that something is coming to a swift end right now, do not fight it, but allow the space for something brand new. A square to Hidalgo shows that you will be called to fight for what you believe in, so get your game face on. A trine to Apophis shows that you feel as though you are fighting everything that you can, and that you are surrounded on all sides. Acknowledge that there are forces beyond your control, and that there is nothing you can do about them, so dont allow worry or fear to stop you.

Jupiter- There's a lot to go over this round. A sextile to Cyllarus shows that you need to be mindful of your actions, as they affect more than just yourself. Another sextile, to Teharonhiawako, highlights the need for you to take time out to do something for yourself, especially if you use the time for creative endeavors. A sextile to Kronos shows that you are pushing yourself to achieve greatness, but mind that others are pushing for the same thing, and it is very lonely at the top. A trine to Photographica shows that your actions are under scrutiny, so keep your nose clean. A sextile to Siva is forcing you to go through the crap to bring you to a point where you are more in control of your life. A lot of the crap will be brought to you, and you are going to need to choose to destroy it once and for all. A sextile to Tantalus shows that you are going to be tempted to throw away all your hard work for something that you had written off before, but is now an option. What you do is your choice, but remember it was written off for a reason. A square to Heracles tells you that your challenges are just beginning, so dig in and show the universe who's boss. A square to Burney shows there is more to what's happening right now then is being brought to light, making it hard to get the perspective to make the right decisions. Do the best you can with what you have, and trust yourself. A trine to Sauer is telling you to push on, with gusto, regardless of all that stands in your path.

Saturn- Settle in folks, this is set to be one long retrograde. He is in square to Persephone, showing that you are sick and tired of people making decisions for you, and are ready to make up your own mind. A trine to Dionysius tells us that you need to dig deep and forgive those who have come against you, and hurt you; so that you can free yourself from the toxic situation. Be conscious and work with the pain rather than try to dull it and shut it out. A trine to Child warns of getting too jaded, allow yourself to enjoy life. A sextile to Ascelpius shows that the new paradigms you are setting in your life are here to stay, so make sure they are aligned to what you really want. A sextile to Narcissus reminds you to watch your pride, and warns you not to rest on your laurels. Keep pushing.

Uranus- Ok, this is just ridiculous. A trine to Diana demands that you act as insane as possible, reminding you that life is only as serious as you make it. And a square to Askalaphus will make sure this is very much an unpopular choice, and you will draw some ire from those around you. Have fun.

Neptune- See above.

Pluto- A trine to Elatus... well, this contradicts everything I just wrote, but apparently beneath all this crap you are actually in high spirits, and are more than ready to take this on to win the day. Gotta love astrology, the only way you know that you're doing it right is when it doesn't make any sense. A square to Klotho shows that now is not the time to start anything new, but focus on what you are already working on. Be careful not to kill your own efforts by subjecting them to too much scrutiny, have faith. A conjunction to Bacchus shows that at the end of this tunnel, there is a light. Chase it.

That does it for me folks, but for your personal scopes, look no further than the fabulous Starzina!

And of course, thank you to the amazing Tracy over at Serennu, without whom these posts really would not be possible!
