TNO Watch: Damocles

Alright guys, this is one of my favorite Asteroids. Its seriously weird, and makes less sense than Sedna (the gold standard for nonsense in Astronomy [yes, you read that right]).

The Astronomy: 5335 Damocles is the namesake of the Damocloid group, a collection of long term comets belonging to the Halley group. At its closest approach to the Sun, it comes in just at the aphelion of Mars, and its outer edge crosses out beyond the orbit of Uranus. It is speculated that over time, its orbit will take it into Earth's orbit. It's orbit is highly eccentric.

The Myth: Damocles' myth is actually the story of a real (as in, we can verify his existence) figure from history, who lived around the 4th century BC. He was a staple in the court of Dionysus I, and was a rampant flatterer. Eventually Dionysus got tired of this, so he decided to teach Damocles a lesson. At a banquet in honor of the king, Damocles was invited, and started up with his usual flattery and how wonderful it must be to be king, etc. Dionysus directed his attention up to the ceiling, where there was a peculiar party favor- above his head, there hung a sword, suspended by a single hair; to demonstrate how tenuous his position was, and the constant danger that came with being King.

Really sets the mood, amiright?

The Astrology: Ok so this guy is seriously cool. It has a cycle of about 41 years, and for about 32 of those years, it spends its time in Aquarius. The further breakdown goes like this: Capricorn- 2 years, Pisces-4 years, Aries through Sagittarius-2/12 years.

A major part of Damocles' influence is thought to be on politics, and tends to also bleed into the political changes that take place, especially on a global scale.

So, there is a serious Aquarian vibe here. Taking that, and the flanking signs' influence as well, we start to see a clearer picture.

Here's the thing about Damocles- He represents a clear and present danger, hanging right over our heads, and asks us: "Well, what are you going to DO about it?" Are you going to get off the throne and let someone else sit there, making the hard choices and risking their own neck, as it were? Or are you brave enough (or foolhardy enough) to risk it all for the chance to make a difference? Or maybe you're an insane Scorpio/Uranian type that just loves the rush of adrenaline you get when you're in danger.

Damocles, forces you to take the leap beyond what you know and what you think you know, and asks you these hard questions. It brings you face to face with what you think you want, the ideal of it, and shows you the true reality; the good, the bad, and the ugly.

Personally, I have Damocles in Gemini, conjunct my Sun. It reminds me to watch what I say, and helps me to keep my ego in check (well, sometimes anyway)

New Moon in Pisces- Under the Influence

Piscean checklist:

Great new Music? Check
Junk food? Check
Cautious optimism regarding events to come? Check
Enough caffeine to bring down a musk ox? Check to the power of Check

Lets do this

Alright ladies and gentlemen, we are now officially in Piscean waters. The rising tide and all that. And this New Moon? Well, it puts the last one to shame. Right now you're probably feeling like you are trying to stand on a cresting wave, like everything is shifting below your feet. Well, suck it up, because its not going to get any easier. This is the part where you find out whether or not you can swim.

Take a deep breath. Are you ready to take the plunge?

Sun/Moon/Neptune/Chiron/Pallas Athene- Well, I did warn you guys. This Lunation features a cacophony (or a cesspool) of the celestial choir: a Super Stellium right at the start of Pisces, with a couple other heavy hitters not far behind. Also in the mix is an opposition of all this to Orcus, so right off the bat you better believe this is going to test your faith in what you are doing, and will try to scare you off your path; However, anything unsustainable that you have been clinging to will just fall away easily, if you let it. This will test your resolve, so be ready. There is a square to Diana, leaving you feeling restless and sick of how long the process is taking. Breathe, relax and enjoy it, its not going to happen again and you will miss it once its gone. An opposition to Industria has you putting in the work to achieve your goals, and its leaving you a little burned out. Keep your eyes on the prize. Also notable is a trine to Askalaphus, so speak your peace, don't censor yourself if something's on your mind. Watch the sextile to Ophelia, steer clear of the Drama and be mindful of how you come across to others. A conjunction to Magdalena stresses the need for you to operate at your highest levels, so that the shit you're walking through wont stick. Others will notice, and will follow your lead, for better or for worse. A sextile to Toro challenges you to channel your frustration into something productive. Great time to get back to the gym and put some serious effort into your fitness, or try a new sport. A sextile to Aesculpius shows that there is major healing going on, but its behind the scenes. Think back to 2008. How have you grown since then? A square to Altjira demands that you pull your head out of the sand, and start getting more involved in your own life. Ultimately YOU are the one who is in charge of your own destiny, not the fate, the universe, God, chance, etc. Another square, to Terpsichore, shows that spirits are low, and the last thing you want to do is celebrate the awesomeness of life, yet that is exactly what you MUST do. Smile, dance, paint; just do something that makes you happy. A sextile to Jupiter shows that right now, its very easy to slip back into old patterns, and a lot of people will with this transit. Be aware of your issues, and refuse to allow them any ground. A trine to Cyllarus shows that you are putting tremendous pressure on yourself to be the best in every arena. Recognize your strengths, and allow others to shine as well. Together we are stronger. A trine to Kronos reinforces this. Be mindful not to step on anyone on your rise to the top. A square to Juno brings up those relationship demons and wounds, take a deep breath and allow yourself to move past the old that is long gone to fully experience what is standing right in front of you. A conjunction to Tantalus warns you not to strech yourself, reaching for the good of tomorrow while you are surrounded by the good of today. A sextile to Phaethon tells us that if we try to push ourselves too fast, there could be drastic consequences for us and the ones we love. Take your time. A sextile to Sauer confirms this, but tells us not to be afraid to take the chance presented to us; its all about striking the right balance.

Mercury- About halfway through Pisces, and well clear of the drama happening in the early degrees, Merc is still swimming along, ready to get the hell into Aries (oh wait, thats me). With a square to Thereus, your strength and your resolve will be tested. Another square, to Okyrhoe, tells you to pay attention to Omens that show up. Any dream messages you get now are particularly important. An opposition to Psyche may leave you scratching your head as you partner puts their fut in their mouth time and time again. While that may be what is actually on their mind, just let it slide as they probably dont mean to stir up contention. Yet another square, to Nemesis, shows that there are those who are dogging your steps, just waiting for you to slip up so they can rip you to shreds. Make sure to give them a good show, and that's it. An opposition to Arachne tells you to be mindful of your pride, regardless of your skills. Stay humble, and you'll be fine. A sextile to Hephaistos says that, while not the most glamorous idea, sticking to your work will keep you out of a lot of trouble, not to mention is much more productive then wallowing in self-pity. Finally, a trine to Hopi reminds us that we are but a part of a very big world that is a very small part of a very big universe. Keep that in mind.

Venus- Our girl is very quiet this lunation, which usually means that she's plotting something. Let's see; a trine to Nemesis, showing that she's defintiely plotting. Don't engage in anything that is unscrupulous. When they come for you, deny everything. Another trine, to Amor, shows that you are allowing yourself to fall in love again, even if its just self-love. Yes, it is very scary, but go with it- its worth it.

Mars- Our boy is also very quiet, raising the question if they are shacking up again (most likely). A square to Amycus show that you must treat those you encounter with proper respect and human decency, or you will most certainly face the consequences. You cannot afford to miss this one, trust me. An opposition to Atropos shows that something is coming to a swift end right now, do not fight it, but allow the space for something brand new. A square to Hidalgo shows that you will be called to fight for what you believe in, so get your game face on. A trine to Apophis shows that you feel as though you are fighting everything that you can, and that you are surrounded on all sides. Acknowledge that there are forces beyond your control, and that there is nothing you can do about them, so dont allow worry or fear to stop you.

Jupiter- There's a lot to go over this round. A sextile to Cyllarus shows that you need to be mindful of your actions, as they affect more than just yourself. Another sextile, to Teharonhiawako, highlights the need for you to take time out to do something for yourself, especially if you use the time for creative endeavors. A sextile to Kronos shows that you are pushing yourself to achieve greatness, but mind that others are pushing for the same thing, and it is very lonely at the top. A trine to Photographica shows that your actions are under scrutiny, so keep your nose clean. A sextile to Siva is forcing you to go through the crap to bring you to a point where you are more in control of your life. A lot of the crap will be brought to you, and you are going to need to choose to destroy it once and for all. A sextile to Tantalus shows that you are going to be tempted to throw away all your hard work for something that you had written off before, but is now an option. What you do is your choice, but remember it was written off for a reason. A square to Heracles tells you that your challenges are just beginning, so dig in and show the universe who's boss. A square to Burney shows there is more to what's happening right now then is being brought to light, making it hard to get the perspective to make the right decisions. Do the best you can with what you have, and trust yourself. A trine to Sauer is telling you to push on, with gusto, regardless of all that stands in your path.

Saturn- Settle in folks, this is set to be one long retrograde. He is in square to Persephone, showing that you are sick and tired of people making decisions for you, and are ready to make up your own mind. A trine to Dionysius tells us that you need to dig deep and forgive those who have come against you, and hurt you; so that you can free yourself from the toxic situation. Be conscious and work with the pain rather than try to dull it and shut it out. A trine to Child warns of getting too jaded, allow yourself to enjoy life. A sextile to Ascelpius shows that the new paradigms you are setting in your life are here to stay, so make sure they are aligned to what you really want. A sextile to Narcissus reminds you to watch your pride, and warns you not to rest on your laurels. Keep pushing.

Uranus- Ok, this is just ridiculous. A trine to Diana demands that you act as insane as possible, reminding you that life is only as serious as you make it. And a square to Askalaphus will make sure this is very much an unpopular choice, and you will draw some ire from those around you. Have fun.

Neptune- See above.

Pluto- A trine to Elatus... well, this contradicts everything I just wrote, but apparently beneath all this crap you are actually in high spirits, and are more than ready to take this on to win the day. Gotta love astrology, the only way you know that you're doing it right is when it doesn't make any sense. A square to Klotho shows that now is not the time to start anything new, but focus on what you are already working on. Be careful not to kill your own efforts by subjecting them to too much scrutiny, have faith. A conjunction to Bacchus shows that at the end of this tunnel, there is a light. Chase it.

That does it for me folks, but for your personal scopes, look no further than the fabulous Starzina!

And of course, thank you to the amazing Tracy over at Serennu, without whom these posts really would not be possible!

Mercury (And Pallas Athene!) in Pisces- Sweet Nothings

i

Well, ladies and gentlemen, everyone's favorite messenger is officially in Pisces. So without further ado, lets all do some shots! No, i joke. But seriously, after Merc gets clear of Neptune, im giving you guys a little bit of a break to cut a little loose. Or if you're a fearless bastard, do it while they're all still conjunct.

Why am i giving you guys a pass after being so vehemently anti-booze? Well, its a cheap and dirty way to tap into Mercury. If you're more spiritually inclined, id recommend staying clean, eating vegan, and keeping up with your meditation (Or you could just take some Ayahuasca, like your old pal Astro). However, if you're not, its doubtful you follow my advice anyway, so I'm covered.

(Note from the AG Skywatch legal team: Astrogeek's Skywatch ONLY endorses responsible drinking, and under no circumstances is this to be taken as an encouragement to imbibe, nor is it an endorsement of the any particular alcoholic beverage [However, if you would be interested in sponsoring us, please feel free to contact us so we can get fat checks to pay for our coke habit {Astrogeek's Skywatch does not endorse recreational drug use. Stay in School, kids; or you'll wind up as an Astrologer}] nor is Astrogeek's Skywatch to be held responsible for whatever dumb shit you do while under the influence, or ever. So there.)

Now that we've covered all the bases: imbibing now is a great way to do Shamanic work, and help your resolve long-standing issues. If you do it right, you may even get a life-altering revelation or something! Or maybe you'll just wind up hungover the next morning. Its funny how these things work out.

This placement is also famous for deception and illusion. Its very easy to get caught up in the rush of a new love or adventure, only to wind up in Boston a week later, naked and missing a kidney. Stick to a healthy dose of Saturn for best results.

On that tack, lets look to our girl Pallas Athene, who is also entering Pisces. Im pretty sure we haven't really gone over Pallas all that well (some Minor Planet Astrologer I turned out to be!), so quick study- She rules Politics, diplomacy, tactics, the military as a whole, statistics, and fair play (unless it suits her to cheat. She can be a bitch like that.)

So with a global war in Iran and Syria looming (or so the media is telling us) it becomes critically important to look at Pallas. Now this feels just like the build up to the wars in Afghanistan and Iraq, doesn't it? And we have a media (Pisces) who is pushing this down our throats, and we have to wonder: "Why?" I understand that there are atrocities being committed in the region, as people fight to win their freedom, however we are just getting out of a war, and we certainly do not need to rush into another crusade.

And since we are dealing with Pisces, everything is hidden and must be figured out by careful scrutiny.

And so I pull up the Iraq war chart (3/20/2003 at 05:33 local time, if you're interested), which is a fascinating chart that I really need to take a day and just analyze the crap out of; and what do we find? Pallas and Mercury, both linked up in Pisces (and Lilith in Taurus as well, same as right now). History doesn't repeat itself, but it rhymes.

Are we headed into another drawn out, messy war over resources? Im not sure. But with the ratcheting tensions here at home (in the U.S. at least [and pretty much everywhere else- the people even turned on Putin! {Bitches love Putin}]) and the deep fight we find ourselves embroiled in over who we are as Human beings, there is no one that is not touched by the rapid change that is enveloping our world. Astrologically, this was initiated by the Cardinal Crisis, and continued by Uranus square Pluto.

Juno in Sagittarius- To Infinity; and Beyond!!

Ok, so I totally missed this one guys, my bad (and I call myself a Minor Planet Astrologer! For shame).

Speaking of shame (Insert clever Lasso of Truth joke here), apologies for the trauma that the above photo has caused, but I couldn't resist. Enjoy your burned retinas.

At some point while I was focused on my Venus Return, Juno slipped out of Scorpio (my natal position) and bolted into Saggo (knocking over two umbrella stands, six ottomans and faceplanting into a piano in the process).

Have we talked about Juno on here? No? Well, that's because Juno rules relationships, and we all now how I feel about that subject. Juno is a very important point when you deal with Synastry, as it deals with your idea of the perfect partner, and how you tend to deal with the idea of being in a relationship. She also rules over power struggles, manipulation, sacrifice for the partner, and commitment.

In Saggo, She becomes a Warrior Queen (albeit a slightly clumsy one), ready to tear off in an instant to get what she wants. She is in love with the idea of love, yet cant wrap her head around the idea that commitment doesn't necessarily have to mean relinquishing ones independence. Although that's not much of an issue, as She is hardly ever around to actually worry about relationships here.

Of course, its Saggo, so expect high drama; loud, boisterous fights; wild, grand adventures; and rampant hyperbole. Also, we have to acknowledge the idea of Long-Distance relationships due to this placement. Juno teaches us that if there's love, then adjustments can be made (and pride swallowed) and it really can work, no matter what.

So, what do we do with this? Well, seeing as how Venus is still at the start of Aries with Uranus (who has finally moved off the Aries Point, so maybe we can all shut up about it now),  we have very auspicious skies when it comes to new love relationships, as they both fall in fire signs (all about the new and shiny). Now this is also great for lighting up a spark in that already established relationship, so don’t think I forgot about you guys.

Now we have Eros (naked and flying around playing target practice with the hearts of mortals, of course) Retrograde, running away from the twin terrors of Mars and Psyche, in hot pursuit of our cherubic God of Passion.  So expect a fair bit of the chase.

We also have Jupiter in a tight sextile to Chiron, so expect all those old emotional issues coming back up, as we are staring down the barrel of another Valentine's Day (I know, I know; I promised they were done with. They mostly are, just yet another round to conquer. I know you guys have this in the bag)

Other than that, you guys should be good. Of course, there's always something new on the horizon here at the Skywatch...

Venus in Aries- Into the Ring

Ladies and Gentlemen, praises be to the Most High; Venus has donned her fatigues, loaded up on ammo, and offically moved into Aries!! And its about damn time too, because if she spent about 32 more seconds in Pisces, I might have just lost it.

Sorry if im a little biased, but this is my Venus Return. And I have already waxed poetic about how seriously awesome Aries (and Mars) is, several times, so ill spare you guys.

Venus in Aries is like a gigantic breath of fresh air, which is much needed after the trip to wonderland that is Venus in Pisces (ugh). This is the time when you put on your combat boots, grab your uzi, and Heaven help whoever is in your way, because She is Hell in High Heels.
Our girl is typically reffered to be in Detriment, or poorly placed, in Aries, but personally I believe its just because she goes from lounging around eating bonbons, getting her minions to do everything for her in Pisces, to suddenly having to Lace The F&*! Up (Astrogeek's Skylab is a proud CLEVELAND supporter of MGK [we raged first!]) and get what She wants for Herself (an alien concept to Our Girl).

Now the bad news: For the rest of us who have to deal with her, we find ourselves looking at a goddess that is extremely volatile, ready to unleash Hell at the slightest provocation. And you know I have paralells in myths for you guys (im all about the myths!). This time, we have quite possibly the oldest story of the Goddess, the Story of Innana. The myth comes to us in fragmentary form, from the Epic of Gilgamesh.

In the myth, Inanna is not portrayed in the best light. Our girl goes into the Underworld (collective groan as we hear this same story again) to attend a funeral for her twin sister's (read: shadow-self) husband. She comes very richly dressed, and her sister, Ereshkigal is suspicious of her intentions. So she (Ereshkigal) demands at every gate of Hell, that Inanna remove one layer of her clothing, because "That is the way of the Underworld". After passing through all 7 gates of Kur (the Underworld), our girl arrives at the funeral, quite naked.

After being right pissed, and behaving quite badly (or a dastardly plot, we're not 100% sure what went down here), our girl becomes trapped in the Underworld. A deal is worked out, and she is released, however someone else must take her place. She pleads with all the gods, but cannot get any of them to take her place. At the end of her rope, she finds her lover, Tammuz on her throne, looking resplendent.

Our girl loses it.

She unleashes a horde of Demons on the guy, and he books it out of there. His sister tries to hide him, but she is no match for the demons, and they rip Tammuz to shreds. So she finds someone to take her place after all (in a fashion). His sister, Belilu, cries out to heaven about the injustice of it all and is just a general wreck. So yet another deal is worked out (I quite like these Sumerian gods, with their negotiable mortality and all) where Tammuz gets to come back to the Land of the Living for 6 months out of the year (*cough cough* The original Persephone/Adonis story *cough*). And in the end, Tammuz spends those 6 months with Inanna anyways. Everybody wins! (I think...)

So what is the moral of the story here? Hell if I know... Oh wait, its my job to know these things? Ok well, we have a trip through the Underworld that strips you bare and leaves you raw, getting stuck there due to your own negative reaction to the process and trying to fight your way out, which is a bad move and leaves you stuck with trying to make an impossible decision to save your own skin. Not the greatest scenario.

The key here is to incorporate the qualities of Libra, Aries' opposite sign (and one of the signs that Venus rules). The ones we're looking for are grace under pressure, charm, and being able to use diplomacy instead of bashing your way through problems; Not indolence, petty manipulation, and passive-agressive behavior.

Now dont go overboard with trying to incorporate these, because you dont want to miss out on the passion that Aries offers! That is one of the greatest gifts of this sign, it energizes whatever it touches; Venus just tends to be a little sensitive to Martian influence.

Most of all, grab life by the balls and do whatever your black little heart desires

[Legal disclaimer: Astrogeek's Skylab does not endorse the previous statement, and as such cannot be held responsible for the consequences of whatever dumbass stunt you try to pull. So there]

Full Moon in Leo- Luck be a Lady

Ladies and Gentlemen, do I have a Moon for you!

The theme this week comes to us courtesy of The Little Sister, who is currently traipsing through Fabulous Las Vegas. I may or may not have put Mercury on tracker detail, making sure she doesn't get into too much trouble (Like even HE could stop that from happening).

Jumping right in...

Sun/Mercury/Moon- (Oh, check that out! That's all different from usual!) This time around, the Sun is conjunct Mercury, and both are opposing the Moon, so for the sake of brevity (and because Aquarius just loves to break the rules) It becomes one category. Which complicates matters, so im going to wing this one. Stick with me, even if it makes absolutely no sense. Besides, everything's fluid now that Neptune is in Pisces. So, we have a trine/sextile to Haumea, telling us that this cycle is all about creating new patterns. A sextile/trine to Ixion demands that you go after what you want with reckless abandon, consequences be damned. This is further developed in a sextile/trine to Hidalgo, who demands that you hold your ground, stick to your guns, and fight for what you believe in, because trust me, you will be coming under fire. Keep your cool, and do not give in for anything. A trine/sextile to Hekate reminds you that at this moment, you are 100% in control of your life, and the choices that you make will define how it plays out. No one else can be blamed for what you decide to do (and stop looking for someone to blame if it all goes wrong before you actually take any action). There is a square to Requiem; This is going to be a very active period, so take your rest when and where you can. Finally, there is a conjunction/opposition of Orpheus, so right now its time (while all the rest is going on) to put on your most charming, calm, cool and collected self and subtly take over the universe. You'll kill at parties.

(See, that wasnt so bad, now was it?)

Mercury- Okay overenthusiastic Gemini, go back and read the first part again.

Venus- We catch our girl at a bad time, she's being evicted from the Pisces House because she hasn't paid her rent. More important things to do, you understand. As she runs headlong towards the Aries House to shack up with Uranus, she makes a square to Photographica, which calls to mind a Paris Hilton/Paparazzi moment (or M.I.A. at the Super Bowl...) so be careful of being caught in compromising moments. Maybe triggered by the twin squares to Bacchus and Dionysius... You guys (hopefully, by this point) know what im going to say next: LAY OFF THE BOOZE!! Oh and she also makes a square to Hades (on the Anaretic of Pisces, no less) so watch out for all those old romantic dramas to rear their ugly heads one last time.

Mars- Mars is... You know what, screw it! Until further notice, Mars is ignored. He's in Virgo, and will be till (what feels like) the end of time. Ive had Pluto Transits that were shorter than this... *peeks at aspects* Oh good lord. Ok, there's too much here to just write off (as if you could ever just write off Mars). First up, trine to Asbolus: Razor sharp insight re: what is going on with your life, and your life path. Clouded by alcohol, so dont indulge. A square to Echeclus gives you tremendous reasoning power to draw up battle plans, but also makes the slightest mess intolerable. Dont lose focus. A trine to Sedna demands that you dont skip your workouts, or try to shut out your inner warrior. The consequences are not pretty. A square to Cupido has your libido firing on all cylinders, so find an appropriate channel for it. This is also suggested by an opposition to Vesta. Try Tantric sex, or Kundalini yoga. A sextile to Achilles (really? Mars wasn't enough on his own, we had to throw Achilles in the mix?) reminds you that you are not invincible, so don't go overboard. A sextile to Osiris tells you that that thing you really loved to do and quit doing, say circa 2006? Might be time to revisit that. A square to Ascelpius demands that you take care of yourself first and foremost, so that you can devote your efforts to taking over the world (or whatever it is you guys do in your spare time; i dont judge, i just inform). Last but not least, we have... (no, no thats not right; It cant be. Theres no way. Its not like hes Damocles or something, making random jumps around the sky...) Mars trine Heracles. Screw what I said about Achilles, you're freaking invincible right now (my lawyers have informed me that i need to make it expressly clear that Astrogeek's Skywatch does not actually think that you are invincible, makes no claims regarding that as such, and therefore cannot be held responsible for whatever stupid stunts you pull because you took one sentence out of context from a gigantic post. So there.)

Jupiter- Well well well, look who's making progress and is finally past 1 Taurus! Of course, As above so Below, so your life is also progressing. Build upon the success and refuse to get logged down by the setbacks. A trine to Chiron tells you to screw the conventional, and go your own way. It might just pay off in spades, so why not take a chance? A trine to Orcus reminds you to keep up with your obligations, however. A sextile to Sphinx highlights that there is a degree of mystery regarding the best path to take yourself down, so hold off on making any big decisions for the time being. A sextile to Askalaphus shows that you might be called to speak up and point out something that others have missed, even if it is unpopular and you may be running a risk.

Saturn- Freshly retrograde, Saturn is wrapping up all the old business that he has been ignoring lately. There will be a reckoning... The trine between him and Neptune is still strong, so the focus is still on making the tough choices and taking real, concrete action to achieve your goals, whatever they may be. He's still conjunct Apollon too, so watch out for scattering your energies and trying to take on too much at once. There is a trine to Hades in effect as well, so it will not be easy work, but keep at it and it WILL pay off. A trine to Pallas Athene helps you keep your head, and able to respond when the little things come up; respond swiftly, or be derailed. A trine to Siva will be a boon to you, helping you bust out of the rut that you may have found yourself in as of late, so work with it.

Uranus- Oh cripes, is it time for Venus-Uranus again? Oh well, back to the disaster bunker... There's a pretty nice trine between the cosmic jokester and Terpsichore, attributing to the infectious good mood. He is also trine Juno, so watch out for relationship weirdness. Speak slowly and calmly so you dont get misunderstood. Adding to that is a trine to Persephone, so you may find yourself coming across a little cold (read: acrtic) and it may surprise you that while you may be focusing on those grand Neptunian /Saturnine goals, you need to keep your head here in the now, or else those dreams are never going to come to fruition.

Neptune- Since Neptune is now firmly ensconced in Pisces (or as firmly ensconced as you can get Neptune in Pisces...) all I have to say is: Let the games begin! Neptune is very well placed right now, what with the trine to Saturn, and the sextile to Jupiter. There is also a trine to Hades, so watch your pride and feelings of entitlement, especially when it comes to not getting what you want. Let it go. A square to Amor shows that all might not be what it seems with that new person who just showed up out of nowhere to sweep you off your feet. Neptune is also trine Dionysius and sextile Bacchus, so the temptation to go trip off of your favorite Neptunian high is going to be very strong, but work Mars in Virgo to temper it.

Pluto- Pluto's relatively quiet this time, which always means he's plotting. A square to Minerva confirms this, so plan out your strategy, and execute it flawlessly. There's nothing better than a plan that gets carried out perfectly. The sextile to Hermes agrees, so again, plan THEN act, dont just go from your gut, no matter how insistent Venus in Aries gets. A sextile to Kassandra indicates that although you can see the end goal, and how it will all play out, you cannot play the result. Keep moving forward, and do your duty to the best of your ability.

                                                                              Here's to Dame Fortune!

Saturn Retrograde: The Cold, Hard, Bitchslap of Reality

Oh sweet zombie Jesus/ Most holy Vishnu/ Hail Satan; It's time for THIS again??? Great, I get to have two more Saturn Square Saturn's. Oh happy day!

Alright guys, already ennui stricken Saturn is about to go Retrograde, and I hope to whatever pagan god you pray to that you've done all the homework and kept your nose clean, because Hell hath no fury like Saturn scorned. He will cut you off at the kneecaps and leave you there to rot.

However, if you've done all the work, and saved your cash/ hit the gym, this is like a vacation for you. Just keep going with your routine, and all of a sudden, its actually starting to get easier! You start to see results, and Saturn smiles on you.

Do: Track your debt-to-income like a fiend; Eat very, very well; Keep an eye out for what is working in your life and what needs to go; Keep up with your workout regimen; Take time out for yourself, and do something alone that helps you conquer the world (its awesomely cathartic).

Do not, under any circumstances: Go boozing it up every night, no matter how much Neptune blows up your phone; Do any unnecessary spending; Take any shortcuts re: Health, Wealth and Happiness; be tempted by the barrage of tempting sweets that seem to barrage you only when this comes up for some reason.

And when all else fails, go skydiving!

Neptune in Pisces: The Sky is Falling

Ok guys, here we are with Neptune in Pisces again. Lets do this.

By now, Neptune is completely settled into Pisces, the sign that it rules (well, some people say Cancer, but... Yeah no, its Pisces) where it will stay for the next 14(ish) years. So, we're going to have to deal with this situation for a while. Enjoy.

This is also significant, because it marks the last shift of the Outer Planets. All the actors are now in their places. Pluto is busy knocking down any wall he can find, Uranus is skydiving and late for his Muay thai class, Saturn is stricken with ennui, and Jupiter just cannot be bothered in the least. Neptune's introduction is kind of like the evil twin popping up out of nowhere to blow up the hospital and have scandalous a gay affair with your best friend. Its enough to make me want to start doing the Astroscene again! So, where does that leave us? (up s%$# creek?)

Well, like with all astro, you have to take a little of the good from each, watch out for the bad of all, see your personal situation in the dialogue, and add in your personal experience (and smite your enemies!! Smite them verily!)

A lot of the Disaster types point to this as proof that, with the mayan calendar coming to an end and all, Neptune in Pisces surely points to the end being nigh and suchlike (seeing as how Pisces rules endings and all), to which I say (If I ever meet a mayan, im clocking him square in the jaw) soo much hooey, or smh for short  (heh... I so funny....)

Anyway, we'll have plenty of time to watch Neptune play out its part, so sit back and watch the show!!
