Uranus Conjunct Eris- War Drums

Helios' ASTROLOGICAL reading of Uranus Conjunct Eris:  Here we are- The transit that keeps me up at night, and the one that I have been stressing about since basically I started writing, and have been warning you was coming for the last couple years: Uranus conjunct the dwarf planet Eris.

So why should you care? What is so special about this one single transit? Well, to answer that let’s look at the planets involved- First up, Uranus. Uranus was a storm god, actually scratch that- Uranus was one of the first forces of nature, of creation itself. He is chaotic, primal, and more force than god. He was the sky, the storm, aether, what have you. When he coupled with Gaia, the literal earth itself, it gave birth to the Giants, the Hekatonkheires and the Titans, all of whom, on their own, outclassed all the gods we know and love by far. However, it took five of the Titans, an unstoppable blade, and the literal earth herself to take him down a peg, as he could not be actually killed or stopped. He is cold, uncaring, and revels in chaos just for novelty.

Even so, he doesn’t love chaos as much as the next factor, Eris. She is the goddess of strife, chaos and bloodshed. She was a war goddess and one of the besties of Ares. A quote about her, from Homer- “Strife whose wrath is relentless, she is the sister and companion of murderous Ares, she who is only a little thing at the first, but thereafter grows until she strides on the earth with her head striking heaven. She then hurled down bitterness equally between both sides as she walked through the onslaught making men's pain heavier.” Most recently, she caused some strife and chaos when she was discovered in the cosmos, causing Pluto to be demoted to minor planet status and a redefinition of the concept of what a planet was. Remember the backlash and public outcry that caused, and how those wounds are STILL fresh for most people, all of whom have an opinion on the matter.

Now, these two are conjoining in the sign of Aries, AKA the least chill sign there ever was. War, passion, strife and chaos all combine in this sign on its own, and with these two heavy hitters, it’s a recipe for disaster. And let me remind you that we, (at least in America) are engaged in a bitter, ugly election battle and it seems no one will win, least of all the people- Not to mention that we are engaged in at least 5 wars at last count, and we are not exactly recovered from our economic crisis. Moreso, these events affect the rest of the world, and vice versa- Take for instance the low gas prices: Those are considered a boon in America, and a sign of our recovery, but these prices are DESTROYING whole countries and economies. In oil-rich countries built on the profits of expensive oil (and steeped in corruption) these prices have completely destabilized the economy, bringing them a hairs breadth from anarchy- black markets rule, and the national currency is worthless, and people are not getting what they need. Everything affects everything else now. That could easily happen here- and that could very well be the best case scenario.

You see, even with the best version of this transit imaginable, I see no way to avoid going through a LOT of upheaval and transformation- At worst? God, the worst case is pure nightmare fuel. I could easily see this becoming a civil war that spills out into the rest of the world at large, stopping global exports of food, relief, and what have you, descending multiple countries even further into chaos, and that’s only the ones that we don’t drag into the war with us- The lucky ones. You think im exaggerating? The last time this transit happened was in 1932, a year that set the stage for WWII. In 1848, there were major riots and political revolutions, old states dissolving and new ones rising from their ashes. 1764, more war. I could go back further but a trend emerges. War, taxes, riots… no matter what, the people suffer- They are downtrodden and taken advantage of.

Also to beware of is the fact that this will essentially be a resurgence of the Cardinal Crisis. Jupiter will be moving to Libra later this year, and will be opposing these two. With this in mind, it is taking place within orb of Pluto in Capricorn, if widely. So there will be a new version of the T-Square, with several times where Cancer is activated, rounding out the Grand Cross. So everything from 2008-14, with all of its chaos and upheaval, will be back in play in a brand new way. In fact, you could say that period was the warmup act for this one.

I don’t have motivation or a positive spin for this one, or how to best work it, guys. I can only warn you that its coming at the moment. More as it unfolds.

So the very slow moving asteroid Eris (formerly known as Persephone - consort of Pluto) is going conjunct with our familiar giant planet of Chaos, Uranus.  And I pulled a fuck ton of fucking crazy cards.  Happy April Fucking Fools!  

Eris is laughing at us already.    She throws a golden apple into the center of our cosmic party.  "For the most beautiful one!  Kallisti!"  Are you the one worthy of picking it up?  Could you?  Should you? Probably not, because Eris is the goddess of motherfucking DISCORD and CHAOS.  Lower your egos down a notch, everyone.  She's going to sucker punch us all one by one, and we need to stick together here.  Shit is going to get rough for everyone, but seriously - we all need to stick together.  Eris has no mercy.  She will show you what you need to see, and she will show you violently.    

WHO THE FUCK INVITED THIS BITCH TO THE PARTY?  

Get out something to chew on or find a spot you can pace in, because this one is going to be rough.   

In all seriousness, this is a very serious post.  "Why so serious, Artemis?" Because the last time this conjunct happened, the Nazi party sprouted, FDR became president, and the initial rattlings of WWII started to become visible.  I know you can all feel it.  Don't bullshit me.  Don't bullshit yourself.  You can see it in the eyes of everyone around you.  We all know something big is on the horizon, and we can all smell the blood in the air.  We don't know exactly what it is... but our spidey senses are alarming the fuck out.

Birds can feel a storm before it comes and flock together (and they fly the fuck away).  Sensing danger is instinctual.  We don't even know we are doing it, but our subconscious mind picks up on the clues around us.  We can all sense when we are being lied to and culled.  We are being penned up, and they are about to take us to slaughter.  The thing is, animals know when they are about to get slaughtered.  And they start going MAD. 

Our political climate is set for it.  It is almost impeccable.  Whatever way we decided to tip, we have already set up the dominoes.  All Eris is doing is snickering and toppling them over.  She is the initial spark; the CHAOS needed to get motion going.    

So what is Uranus doing in this reading?  He is saying, fuck this shit, stuff is going to start changing around here!  Like flashes of lightening, we wont see it coming and it might be a little disturbing at first.  The outer planets like to deal in the macro.  They talk in politics and mass human behavior.  Uranus likes to talk about revolution and innovation.  It looks like some massive inventions might be on the horizon this year.  Bold new plans.  Bold new uptakes.  Bold New World.  Will it be for the better?  I don't know.  Was the invention of the nuclear bomb for the betterment of humanity?  Was the invention of cars for the betterment of humanity?  No thing in itself is purely good or evil.  Is it good for YOUR worldview?  Whatever the innovations will be, they will be an evolutionary step for humanity.  

Around and around we go.  You see, our sun (Sol) is rocketing through space at about 70,000 km an hour.  This means that the planets are trailing after it in a spiral fashion, creating a literal helix.  Sometimes the planets coast out ahead of the sun, sometimes they trail behind.  The sun isn't just sitting there as planets rotate around it in a static fashion.  Oh no.  We are fucking throttling through space right now at high speeds.  The world is in constant movement, spiraling outward, each rotation the same yet different.  We have reached another solar rotation of Uranus since 1932, my friends, and now he and Eris will be effecting similar yet different revolutionary change.  Notice the patterns.  As above, so below.  

It is time to seize opportunity.  Shit is fucked up.  It seriously is.  All around the world, shit is fucked up.  We see it clear as day, so why do we look away?  This energy is going to make a lot of us snap back to reality.  Things are happening HERE, where you LIVE.  Do you see the massive election going on?  It is one of the craziest we have had in decades.  Everything hangs by a thread.  America is a failing Empire, and the route we choose to take is extremely important right now.  Rise to the occasion.  This is our last chance.  We have the Ace of Wands next, indicating that a surge of power and heat will descend upon us.  People are going to get riled up.  It is inevitable.  How they decide to harness this surge of energy will be up to them.  Will we use it to destroy our enemies, or will we use it to destroy each other?  We end with the two of wands for Uranus, warning us against arrogance.  This combination props up revolutionaries who are working through truly Aquarian values; humanitarianism and group evolution.  We are BOLD right now - especially in the sign of Aries.  We want our voices to be fucking heard already!  Can you hear it?  All over the world, the people are roaring.  

 Chaos is, at first, seen as a shiney novelty.  We have our new thing, like the smart phone, and it is glorious.  This is like the butterfly effect.  The novelty gains popularity.  More and more people want it.  More and more Chaos ensues.  We source slave labor to make their parts.  We suck whole generations into a small screen so that we can program them easier.  Don't you see?  Chaos, at first, is a tempting seductress.  She eases our worry and shows us something innovative and great.  What we don't realize is that if we don't steer her OUR direction, that she will show us the folly of our ways.  She will show us just how we can abuse our power.  This is Eris' lesson.  

The cards I pulled for Eris are kinda ominous.  Why wouldn't they be?  It's fucking Eris, the goddess of Discord.  The information we are being fed is trying to stack things against us.  It is making us feel weak and stupid.  Be warned, Eris is going to take all of this down.  The wool is going to be pulled from our eyes, but it's not going to be very pleasant.  But hey, at least we will finally be getting some fucking truth, right?  The Tower card is indicating that there is mass corruption that is about to go down.  What is the most obvious metaphor for The Tower card?  Probably 9/11.  No one knew those towers were going to come down (well, I could argue conspiracy, but I've already rambled long enough).  It was seemingly out of nowhere, and it completely changed the culture of the United States.  Seemingly out of nowhere, something may occur that will rattle our very foundations as a country.  What could the unexpected be?  

I guess I really can't tell you, can I?  

The next two cards I pulled for Eris are the King of Wands and The Emperor.  The King of Wands is the King who cannot sit on his throne.  He is an action oriented king, and he is an innovator.  In my Hexen 2.0 Tarot deck, he is represented by Nicola Tesla.  The King of Wands is obsessed.  A new zeal will move about the political atmosphere; a fever of some kind.  This could be good, and this could be bad.  Really, people, it's all about your intent.  Bend the energy to your will.  The final card is The Emperor.  He is Mars, and he is industry and war.  This card in this position warns us that every little thing that we do now has larger repercussions in the future.  We are walking on a tight rope and we need to sway in just the right ways.  Do you really know what being in charge of your own destiny feels like?  The reigns are about to switch, and if we, as the people, cannot take them, then someone else will.  Who will rule?  Will the chaos that ensues put someone diabolical in that oval office, or will we be so fired up by this energy that we will storm the capital and take back what is ours?

New Moon in Aquarius- Currents

Happy Chinese New Year, heroes!! We are now in the Century of the Fruitbat Year of the Fire Monkey of Independence!  

Lordy, this is one is about to be extra. I have never seen a more focused lunation. Luckily, this makes my job relatively easy, not so much Morrigan’s- Sucks to be her! Even so, I’m re-editing this mid-stream of consciousness and deciding, completely on a whim, to change my rules and modus operandi for no other reason than IT WORKS BETTER. That is going to be a central theme with this moment in time- If you can maintain a stillness within your mind then you will be able to naturally sense the best way forward. Oddly, you should not have a problem with this, since the start of the year it has been easier and easier to get into the “no-mind”. Embrace it, and dive into the world around you: follow the flow and you will get where you are going. Though I can’t promise you that it will be a straight path!

Wait, did someone sneak the draft for Pisces season in somehow? No? Still Aqua? Well, okay then…

We just passed Imbolc, the Celtic holiday that celebrates the melting of the ice and the flowing of the spring waters; much like Aquarius bearing the celestial waters of a greater consciousness. Welcome back, Aquarius! We missed you! You've arrived with the celestial message of "Please, wake the fuck up" and we're ready to listen. There was a torch of inspiration lit by the Leo full moon 2 weeks ago, and it is melting the ice that has been ensnaring us. We've been carbonized by this winter like Han Solo, and we are finally waking up to the shitstorm that is going on around us. Whether we like it or not, the ice is melting and the waters are going to flow and nourish all the seeds we have collectively burrowed into the ground. The political climate is ripe for action; radicals from the left and the right are making big splashes. Something is on the horizon.  

The Sun, Moon, Venus, Mars, and Chiron- See, this is actually extremely annoying for me, as I‘ve gone and slated myself for MORE work and effort (something I avoid at all costs!), at a time when I really cannot afford to; I could have easily written this all as one section under my current rules and called it a day, with the exception of Neptune, but it wasn’t right. Just because you have always done things one way, that doesn’t mean that they should be done that way from this point forward! There is a new game being played here now, with brand new rules. If you are not able to adapt to them, and throw in a few of your own, you will sink beneath the waves that seek to crush you. It’s time for you to learn how to surf! You are going to need to disassociate with all of those who do not share your goals and your mission, as what you need to build trumps all else. Forget their opinions of you, your past relationships with them, or your history- burn those bridges to the ground so that they cannot follow you. That was the theme of the last lunar year, the falling away of what no longer served you, especially relationships. You saw what you were capable of without them holding you back, and my god it was fantastic. YOU were fantastic. You will be there again. Pick yourself up, get on those boots and start walking away from the fuckwits.   

Morrigan Says: Slicey Slicey, this Queen doesn't give two fucks what you want to believe. She is going to shed the light. Represented by Libra, the Queen of Swords is here to serve justice. She will slice and dice your heart if it is not in the right place, and in idealistic, chilly Aquarius, you may be in for some emotional turmoil if you cannot behave with the collective in mind. This Sun is about being able to make judgments without forcing your biases into the judgment making processes. You're going to have to cut the fat, so to speak. Get rid of the things that don't serve your higher purpose. If you can't be the best you, then you can't play your part in evolving the collective. Cut out the people who are bringing you down. Cut out the ideas that are slowing you down. Slice/cut/dice. She is in war mode because of her relation to Mars right now, but she also has her eye on the prize with her positive aspects with Saturn and Uranus. Holy shit this is “unstoppable force” energy! You have all the tools you need right now to demolish institutions (macro or micro). Insight + Judgment are on our side. This is the time to do it. This is a very "no bullshit, no illusions" sun. Can you survive the hailstorm? Things are going to change, whether you like it or not. What did Darwin say? Not the strongest, or the smartest (though we are both of those things, hehehe), but the one most adept to change survives and evolves. This is the archetype of Aquarius; the perfection of humanity which is always willing and ready to change and blast off to the next incarnation. When I pulled cards for each of the planets, the moon came up as the 7 of Wands, which is Leo in Mars energy. There is a pride to Leo that is also found in its opposite, Aquarius. That creative drive coming from the deepest part of the self we felt 2 weeks ago? Well it hasn't stopped, and it's now taken on the out of the box creativity of Aquarius. All those idealistic projects you have been thinking about? Well, now is the time to initiate them. 7 of Wands is called "Valor," or continuing to fight for your position of superiority amongst the basic bitches (Astro: Oh great, now we have to pay Khloe Kardashian again…). Get ready to defend yourself at every turn. This is a fighting card, so get your debate suit out and ironed.  Use that Aquarian scientific mind to argue your case. The moon may be square mars, zapping a lot of your emotional energy and forcing you to keep your guard, but that just means you need to rise to the challenge. You are being given two great tools here. With the moon sextile both Saturn and Uranus (both of which are Aquarius' planets), this is your opportunity to use that war energy to build and innovate your ideas. This is the time to demolish and rebuild all of your structures. This is a perfect re-programming pportunity. Aquarius is an idealist, so when re-programming keep in mind your highest values so get a nice karmic boost from the planets. With these sextiles, opportunity is knocking- so answer the damn door already! Aquarius is the circulatory system - the rivers - and they are raging. We all need to keep our dignity right now and fight for what we believe in. In short, don't fucking back down from your fight or the collective fight toward a better humanity. The good thing about this card is that it is telling us humanity is on the right track - at least for now. Keep pushing each other. Keep staying open to new ideas and treat others, and yourself, with valor in mind. Things aren’t turning out the way you hoped. A lot of disappointment in love is in the air.  But with disappointment comes a much higher awareness. In this card, a man is looking at 4 fallen cups while a full 5^th cup sits unnoticed behind him. This is reminding us that although we are distracted with despair over love, we aren’t noticing the good that is sitting there, ready for us, right under our nose. One full cup may not look like much when you are dealing with 4 empty ones but try entertaining the notion.  If you pay attention to the chaos, you will notice the subtle order. Look around and realize that what you are looking for might not be presented the way you expect it, but it will be exactly what you want once you take a chance and go with it. This is hot, hot energy. Sex is in the air, and everyone is feeling it in some way or another. The kinkiness of Aquarius energy around us and the Scorpio Mars is pumping some crazy adrenaline into our veins. THIS IS GET SHIT DONE ENERGY. This Mars isn’t going to let us waste a drop of this electric Aquarian insight. There are so many opportunities around you that you can funnel your energy into, and the only problem is that you may not be able to see all of them from where you are currently standing. Trust that they are there. Trust that your hard work is paying off and big things are on the horizons. This card reminds me of a pioneer making their way out into the unknown, unaware of the vast resources and opportunity ahead of them. Fame, fortune, harems and gold await. Don’t fucking slow down at all- Use the raw sexual energy in the air to your advantage. Opportunities may arise from encounters, and the inspiration present in the interactions will be nothing short of transformative.    

Saturn, Uranus and Pluto- And here we have the driving energy that brings in the New Lunar Year! I’m calling this Super Saiyan energy, because I am a giant nerd. The core concept of this is valid though, rising above the turbulence and chaos in your heart to become a force for change- Never being rid of it, but instead using it to become better. Only when your distractions are removed and you see clearly what is important and must be fought for. Yes, you will need to fight. You will need to fight a great many battles before you get your rest. Some of these you will lose. You will recover. The most amazing thing about Saiyans is that when they lose, and then come back, they become exponentially stronger. You will get this Zenkai Boost as well. Like a wild, raging Oozaru… okay, not sure where I was going with that metaphor.

Morrigan Says: Holy shit. The tower in Saturn. The tower is all about toppling illusions. Our institutions, our values, our daily lives, are all built on lies.  Saturn is here to blow all of that out of the water. In the philosophical sign of Saggo, he is going to get down to very axioms of our existence. As I stated earlier this year, 16 is the tower, and 2016 is the year of the tower. It’s time to take a wrecking ball to everything. There is corruption all around us, but now, more than ever, we can see the cracks in the motherfucking mirror. Would you live in a house that was built faulty? No. You would take a wrecking ball to that piece of shit and build something new and better. This Aquarian moon is shaking and moving with Saturn, and Father Time is telling us that our time is ticking. If you don’t take out the fat now, you’re going to be smothered in the wreckage. LET’S GO! The war is coming. Are you ready? It seems the Aquarian planet is celebrating. 3 of cups is represented by 3 friends, drinking in merriment together. We can think of these three friends as our sun/moon Aquarius combo and Saturn and Uranus. Things are going exactly Uranus’ way. Universal love is being communicated very efficiently, and communities are coming together. The radicals are finding each other and are finally starting to shake things down. Don’t sleep on this Uranus! He’s set up in the perfect position to assist Saturn’s Tower in the takeover. What does this mean for you? This is the perfect time to bring together your weird group of friends (Astro: Calling All Z Fighters!!) because inspiration is going to take flight when you do. Party together. Celebrate together. Mix your energies and everything WILL come together. This is the perfect time to throw your energy into community gatherings of all kinds (especially the super eccentric types). Venus is VICTORY, and The Empress is telling us that Pluto is working toward our victory. Conjunct Mercury and Venus, he is funneling that nourishing energy into our communication and giving us what we need. We just need to remember that sometimes mama knows best, and what we think we want isn’t what we actually need. Don’t you worry, though, because that Plutonian energy is transforming us whether we know it or not – from it’s dark Capricorn goat lair. More transformation of institutions. There are people around us who are really trying to make changes in their lives. Help them, and in turn, they will help you. What more? Essentially more kapow energy. So much fucking kapow, I’m surprised something hasn’t been set on fire…  Do you feel the burn? ;) This shit is not going to end well for those who have been trying to pull the wool over your eyes (in the micro) and the wool over our eyes (in the macro collective).        

Mercury, Jupiter and Nodes- To achieve your goals right now, you are going to need to be clever. As clever and cunning as you have ever been, and more loose and fun to boot! This is not a time for rigidity, you will need to embrace a more open and adaptable version of yourself than you are used to. Bend like bamboo, swing from vines. Stability is not on the menu right now, but change sure as hell is. For now, get to where you are going, and THEN build on your success and failures. And trust, there will be failures and bad decisions. You will make mistakes. See the section above on that. Here though, your goal is to not allow those selfsame failures to harden your heart and make you cold or cruel. In fact, you will need to do a lot of work there to warm back up from all that the Cardinal Crisis has done to you. You are a war hero right now, and it’s time to acclimate back to civilian life.  Err just shy of insanity in your path, and stay more kooky than homicidal. Embrace the energy of the Fool.

Morrigan Says: What is it that you really want? That seems to be a big theme of this new moon.  What is your ideal? What waters do you want your river to merge into? This Aquarian current is pushing us and it’s pushing us fast, and we need to get to the nitty-gritty details of our aspirations. Where can we be of service to the world?  Where can we best serve ourselves? Jupiter is giving a lot of energy to Mercury, Venus, Mars and Pluto right now. Things are going BANG BANG and you need to fucking make decisions and get shit moving. This card is urging you not to sit around. 2 of Wands is represented by Mars in Aries energy. Yeah, you got that, Mars in Aries energy. Essentially we are in an electric, raging Aquarian river, white water rafting to VICTORY or our demise as a collective. As above, so below – what is about you is also about everyone else.  No more sitting on your ass, it’s time to get shit moving. Jupiter is forcing our hands. With the Lovers card being pulled for Mercury, and it’s conjunction with Venus, our communications will lead us to victory and fusion (Astro: Morrigan, you do realize that’s another Saiyan reference, right?) with those around us. Speak your mind.  Put your speech together and say what you mean to say. Enough passive aggression and dancing around the issues. It’s time to fuse ourselves with our environment using language. It’s time to connect to everyone around us using language, and you can’t do this if you aren’t being honest and you aren’t being direct.

Neptune- Always the gunk in the gears, Neptune… Still can you believe that He/She is already at 8 degrees of Pisces? Sure, we still have a long slog ahead of us, but that’s massive! It feels like we’ve jumped from 4 to 8 overnight, and it’s great. Anyways, Neptune is removed from the main event of the Astro, but a hotbed of the minor planet activity! Well, at least the main ones I use. A different sampling could show something completely different, like a focus on Jupiter or some such nonsense, and it would be completely accurate and valid! That’s the message coming in from Neptune- There are layers and lenses of reality that change your experience and awareness. They are valid, and right for you- There are more of them out there, different lenses and layers that combine in different ways that see and experience things you never could and would never dream of. Be open to different ways, different paths that could open up for you now. Do not discount anything or close yourself off from a potential dream just because it’s not something you’ve ever considered before. Break free of yourself. Evolve.

Morrigan Says: We are living in a world full of illusions. We are building the statues for THE MAN in his image when we should really be building for us. It seems this theme is also following us (a pleasant reminder that we haven’t escaped this particular prison). This card is called “prudence” in some decks. Be careful about believing in false causes. Look inside yourself before looking out. This brings us back to the archetype of Aquarius. Though Aquarius is a sign about the collective, it is also an extremely individualistic sign. To help and push forward the collective, one must first look inside and develop a strong sense of self. If you do not, you may just end up drinking some idiot’s kool-aid in a bunker in West Virginia. Keep watching your dreams. We are walking in a waking dream right now built around us. This card is reminding us that we are still in the simulacra – the matrix – and it has been built very solidly around us. Use that Aquarian energy to destroy that illusion. Be eccentric – choose a new way.  

Full Moon in Leo- Alarums and Excursions

Drama for your nerves, baby!! That has been the theme of this Full Moon, and it sure as hell made an entrance! Celebrities dropping like flies, political and economic drama, fights and flashpoints popping up all over the place- It’s enough to make anyone want to call it quits and schlump in the corner until it’s over! You’re not just anyone though. You have made it through worse than this, and you have greater challenges ahead. This is mundane by comparison and well within your ability to handle!

SUN  Queen of Disks

They call the full moon in January the "Wolf Moon", which is just perfect because we are definitely being circled by viscous, ego-maniac wolves right now. Get your spears out. We're going to need to keep these crazies at a distance using super sly, prince of wands Fox magic.

Let’s get to it, shall we?
The Sun, Moon and Venus- YAAAASS finally some of that good LEO energy, henny! After that (not quite as bad as you think it was) Saggo/Cap season, we are in AQUA, baby! Now we are fixing to turn the party! Before we can do that however, we need to contend with Venus, in Cap. The little issues and slights that were building in the last New Moon have come to a head in full force, and you can clearly see what needs to go in your life, plain as day. There is no compromise here, not anymore; you HAVE to overcome this before you can progress. The change can be made slowly, but you cannot allow your momentum to falter. Even if you only make small steps every day, these steps must be made. Some days you will do better than others. Accept this. Celebrate your victories and do not allow your defeats to stop you. You can wallow later; right now there is work to be done.

Morrigan: Oh boy, oh boy, my favorite time of year! What a friggin relief. We NEED the chilly, detached Aquarius sun to get us through all of this bombastic drama and emotional water works.  Here comes the weird, estranged loner. He is going to channel all of this energy and focus it around community and social change. This is a perfect time for activists to raise inspiration and emotional support for their cause. For the Aquarius sun I got the Queen of Disks. This will be our stabilizing force. She is water/earth energy, so she is earth mother. Gaia herself. We need to remember how to care for ourselves (and those we love), and the only way we can do this is by detaching from all of the lunacy around us. Pay attention to what matters. The Queen of Disks, and Aquarius, both remind us how important our independence is. In order to participate in the collective, you must be able to stand on your own two feet first. You need to learn the healthy dance between caring for yourself and caring for your community (back to that Mercury 6 of disks energy). This queen reminds us to be caring and compassionate (which Aquarius truly is), but to also tend to our own kingdom and possessions (be they physical things, ideas, or feelings). Leo moons are supposed to be fun.They are generally festive and jovial, but this one is like showing up to a party and running into your ex and their gaggle of loud, drunk friends. What I pulled for the moon is Prince of Wands. That's some showy shit. When I look at this card in this position, I am getting the mental image of a lot of people running around displaying their "talents" openly and demanding respect and attention for it.  Yeah.  It's going to be fucking annoying. You're going to see a lot of soap boxes, but remember what I told you about boxes on the Capricorn new moon- BURN THEM TO THE GROUND. There IS a real message that is trying to come through, but you're going to have to wade through a lot of "false prophets" first. *But once you see it, you will know it.* The people who are channeling the inspiration you will need to guide your evolution - who are speaking the information that is going to help you breathe some real life into this emotional hell of a time - are going to glow like fire. This card can be associated with the fox spirit. There is a playful trickery going on, but if you are worthy - if strategy is your game - you are going to navigate your way through this storm and into some truly inspirational stuff. Leo is the eternal flame of the heart. The light at the end of the tunnel. The defibrillator. And we really need some of this shit because that last Capricorn new moon sucked the life out of us. We are worn out, bleeding from the gut on the battle field, taking our last breath when finally *AAAHHHH* a hot as hell medic comes running our way flipping their hair like fucking Baywatch. In this card, the Prince is being pulled by a lion, Leo himself it seems. This lion is going to carry us out of here, and he is going FAST so catch him while you can and keep your eyes open at all times for his presence. This is a time for light bulb moments. This is the time for connecting the dots and finally seeing the whole picture - everything come full circle. So, put on your diamond encrusted stilettos (the obvious weapon choice for this full moon) and fight your way through the dramatic, viscous shit while looking fabulous. Realize that everyone is playing their "role" on crack right now. Like full on cartoon depictions of their personalities, so this is also the perfect time to learn the ways of the cunning fox (the Prince of Wands is Fire/Air energy, so think witty, quick, poetic, on the go inspiration). I have officially warned you about the drama, you most definitely see/feel it, so use it to learn a valuable lesson about human social interactions. This is the sharpening of your weapons, this is where you learn cunning so you can do battle with the emotional siege from the Uranus-Pluto square. We got Judgement for Venus. I don't particularly like the sound of that, but we really did need some sort of restraint. She will be in Capricorn at the time of the full moon and will probably try as hard as possible to get the party out the door before bed time. She is reminding us of our values. She is telling us to keep Karma in mind and not to slip into some sort of drunken coma from our Leo influenced escapades. She is the designated driver, the responsible friend who is going to hold our hair as we throw up (all the while complaining loudly about how we should have stayed home in the first place). She's probably going to be a horrible, bleating wing man, so forget about her amping up Leo's romantic qualities. She's here to remind us of everything we have going on - remember your values - remember your goals - remember where the fuck we are going because we can't go all Party Monster and end up making a mistake we can't go back on. Remember, Venus is victory, so she is really looking out for our win in the end. Take her lesson to heart. Venus is giving us some reigns on the situation so use them for everyone's sake (especially your own).
Mercury, Saturn, Uranus, Pluto- Okay, yes; at first glance this is some scary Astro. It is certainly cold, calculating Astro that suffers no fools! It’s also exactly what you need right now. It’s time to make big moves and tough calls, and nothing says mega-transformative like this Astro.  Whatever you are trying to beat, can be overcome RIGHT NOW, if you are willing to make it happen. It will be easier than ever, but you must put in the work. Sure you will have distractions, and shit that tries to trip you up, but stay focused and you will be able to beat anything. All it takes is the effort. Prioritize your goals and ignore all else.

Morrigan: PLEASE GODS MAKE IT END, PLEASE MAKE IT END. Mercury is 6 of Disks in this reading, which is associated with moon in Taurus energy. 6 of disks is all about knowing how much to give, knowing what to give, and knowing how to give it (yum hehehe). There are a lot of people vocally demanding a piece of you right now, left and right, with viscous words in tow. They think they DESERVE something of yours, and you're stuck in a crap situation because you gave too much. You just fed the stray animals and they are coming back, night after night, demanding food when you don't even have enough scraps to put on your own table. There has been a wave of exploitation and depression that has hit the collective unconscious (I hope you all rode that Capricorn wave well and ended up getting some good foot holds), but at least we're actually talking about it now. You need to know when enough is enough, and you have to put that remaining energy of yours into the relationships that are truly symbiotic. The God Mercury [Astrogeek starts twitching uncontrollably] carried the caduceus which heals the sick and brings the dead to life. The caduceus can also kill the living if Mercury pleases, so, in other words, we're at this fucker's mercy. As much as it has sucked, the lessons of this retrograde were probably needed. There was something that we really had to hear that we heard; some truth exposed that will allow us to better trade our ideas with others. We learned some sort of strange, emotional economic system. This entire explosive display of ego really humbled us, and now we are ready to go back to truly sharing. Saturn is square Neptune, which is challenging us with self defeatist energy. For Saturn I got the 2 of cups, or Cancer in Venus energy. You're going to need a lot of love right now. Structure some time with people you care about in your life, because things are heavy and emotional as hell at the moment. Build love into your life as a routine, and by that I mean actually set time aside to be with people who give you warmth.  You're going to need all the self love and friend love that you can get. Surround yourself with Cancer type people who will hide under the covers with you and make you hot cocoa. Honestly, it will make a world of difference. Hang out with your tribe (remember, the people you are in symbiotic relationships with). They are your life blood and emotional support you will need. You will get through this. The self doubt is crippling, but everything you need is right at your fingertips.  Love yourself. Build that love. Build yourself up with love. Make love the bones - the structure - that holds you up. Hearts all around, love is the law. Ace of cups for Uranus in Aries while it squares the hell out of Mercury. Ugh I'm so sorry- This is just adding to the emotional, verbal outbursts people are having. Crazy emotional cups overflowing in the planet of crazy. But this could also be a positive time for inspiration. With all of these overwhelming emotions + Aries energy, we could really start communicating things that really need to be communicated. Don't sacrifice the self. Stop letting everyone steal your thunder. You are the thunder! This is a time of emotional transformation. It's better to drink from the cup and get drunk on the inspiration around us than drown in it. So start swimming. The wolves are going to nip at your tender heart strings, but use the sun in Aquarius to chilly detach, and then pounce like the cunning fox. You desire change, especially emotional change, so act on it. The potential for transformation is there. For Pluto I pulled the Queen of Cups (water/water energy), and she is squaring Uranus in Ace of Cups. There is GREAT emotional transformation happening, and there is a lot of fire stoking it. Essentially, we are boiling. This Queen of Cups is reminding me that all of this squaring off between Uranus and Pluto is making us far more emotionally evolved. We are going to become the rock in the stream, not bothered by it's passage over us. We are learning all of our emotional lessons, and even though all of this fire and water is making us crazy, a lot of light will be shed on what has been held and repressed inside of us. We are getting rid of our emotional weaknesses. We may be in the dark underworld of emotions at this moment in time, but, as Carl Jung stated, the tree that grows to heaven must have it's roots deep in hell. Cry. Let it out. Tell people how you really feel. It will transform you for the better.  
Mars and Neptune- Weird energy here. In one way, it works to insulate you from the outer bullshit that threatens to drag you down- In another way it drowns your enthusiasm and puts you into a sort of dream state, where your cognitive dissonance allows you to be completely unbothered by everything on an emotional level. The way to use this is to fully embrace the Flazedah nature and sleepwalk through the hell around you, but not to stop moving. It’s like sleepwalking on Ambien, and it’s the pro strat here.

Morrigan: Mars is playing off of Knight (King) of Wands energy. Holy shit. With Mars trine Neptune, we are in a time of illusions. No one is who they seem, and sexual energy has run rampant (and sexier than ever). It's magic time, and we are getting a great re-charge of spiritual inspiration.  There is a clear warning here. With the "glamouring" coming from the Leo moon coupled with the "glamouring" radiating off of Mars and Neptune, we have to really be able to separate the fakers from the real deal. Stay cunning. Remember your advice this moon is to "be the fox among wolves." Mars square the Moon will clash Prince with Knight, so I can guarantee there will be some intense drama.  People are guaranteed to get explosive, and fast, and you have to be wily to get your way out of it. The moon is how we protect ourselves, and knowing how to perform the appropriate role at the right time is going to be what saves you this moon. Don't forget to learn your lines or to follow the fox spirit. The Mars trine Neptune is giving us a lot of courage right now (probably delusional courage, but whatever), so USE IT. Also, I see sexy times. A lot of sexy times. Hell yes, the Chariot! The chariot is all about conquest and overcoming oppression. We need to get the reigns on this Neptune and ride it like a charioteer. Pisces in Neptune may bring a lot of illusion into the world, but it also brings a lot of spirituality and insight. There is magic everywhere, truly, and we have to battle our way through this drama and hold on to the little bubble of hope we have found. You may be getting some intense messages through your dreams right now, so pay attention. You might just get the code/plans/instructions you are looking for. The Chariot is represented by Cancer, and the charioteer must be able to flow around the battle like a raging river in order to gain their victory. Pisces being in Neptune gives us this much needed slippery quality (again, a need to be slippery like the fox).  
      
Jupiter- Saving the best for last! Even though Jupiter is retrograde, this is SUPER amazing Astro. He is conjunct the North Node and making all sort of fun aspects to the minor planets. So, this is where these super bold plans for your future are coming from. Roll with them, write them down, fully realize them as much as possible before you act on them. This is not the time for action, but you are too full of ideas and plots to not explore them. Just refrain from jumping off too quickly- Plot before you jump, but you most certainly are going to make a flying leap, and soon! The goal right now, with this Astro, is to know where you are going first.

Morrigan: Don't sleep on Jupiter. He has been telling me he is up to more than we think he is, even if he is in restrained Virgo. The Virgo just means he's planning. The Virgo means he has been plotting something obsessively (philosophically as well, so lots of logical diagrams), and has finally had a eureka moment. He's ace of wands in this reading, so we have a lot of empowerment of the self (which plays well with the Leo energy). Don't forget who you are, and don't forget your highest ideals. They really are the fire that is lighting your way - your literal torch. This is a good time to formulate a creative way for self expression, and with Virrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrgo being a Mercurial sign, you have all of the potential in the world to communicate your ideals in a very inspirational, creative way right now.  Jesus, can I say inspirational enough in this reading [Astrogeek: Probably not as many times as you made a fox pun!]? Anyway, hold on to hope. It's there, I promise. You're about to find a way to express your highest ideals into your daily life, it's just at it's budding process (aces are beginnings) so don't snuff out the flame on accident. Believe in it and stoke it. This is the time to meld the big picture with the details - which brings on the eureka moment. So, in summation, my advice is this:  "Be the Fox" is your mantra. They may be surrounding us, but we're smarter, hotter, and master illusionists.

Jupiter Direct- A Shower of Gold

Yes yes, I know. Starzina is going to have a field day with this one. But before we get into it, let me explain- Im taking the title (and image too- You wouldn't beleive what comes up when you google "Golden Shower"!) from the myth of Perseus. In the myth, the hero is born when Zeus (Jupiter) visits his mother, Danaë, who was imprisoned in a bronze box by her father because of a silly little prophecy that he would be killed by his daughters son borne by Zeus. Now Zeus really wanted some of Danaë, but since she was stuck in a box, his normal tricks wouldnt work. But then he noticed something- This box was open to the sky! Since Zeus was the God of the Heavens (sky), he sensed an opportunity. For reasons that will remain known only to him, and defying all conventional logic, Zeus decided to pay a visit to Danaë, but in the form of a shower of gold (very hard to type that with a straight face). Shortly after, Danaë becomes pregnant, as is par for the course in these types of situations. Her son, Perseus, went on to do awesome things, like slaying Medusa (who got a bad rap, but hey), defeating the Kraken (but not before it launched an absolutley wonderful line of Rum in its own name), winning the hand of Andromeda, and yes, killing his grandfather Acrisius in the kind of wacky hijinks you can only find in the ancient Greek myths.

So, now that I've explained where my head is at, you're probably wondering how in the hell Im going to tie that myth into any kind of theme whatsoever (aside from the running watersports joke), and ill admit- Its a bit flimsy, but CHALLENGE ACCEPTED (which is my usual go to for both Jupiter and Mars [and in one particularly odd instance, Uranus; But we dont talk about Mexico.]) So, what has been happening right now? Well, with Jupiter Retrograde, bonhomie, hospitality, fortune, charity and drama all get scaled way back in daily life to make way for more pressing matters, like day to day survival.

With Jupiter Direct, the party starts back up in full swing. Literally, he can shower you with good fortune and luck (not to mention pregnancy- Never let it be said that I don't warn you guys). There are caveats to that however...

1.) This is not a call back to boozing, snorting, hooking, or however you choose to do low expression of Jupiter. This is still Demolition Astro, after all.
2.) The only way to tap into the absolute awesome of Jupiter RIGHT DAMN NOW is to be able to drop everything in a picosecond.
3.) High-speed processing is the name of the game. Baggage will be unnecessary where you're going. Anything that weighs you down holds you back.

This all gets heightened later on this month, when we get treated to Mars and Venus getting up to their usual antics, Saturn taking his turn to go retrograde, and some truly freaky things happening with Uranus. Til then, we have Jupiter gaining his lost ground. Try not to get pissed on.
